  1. Dont go black. A medium grey light antrhacite would look best.
  2. ....its clearly highly modified with a lot more power if its running 1.4 bar (20psi)
  3. Really sorry to here :(:( Glad you were both not seriously hurt
  4. No, I knew what you meant, the link I suggest would give that same symptom

  8. ^^ Good idea, although even more important would be to change engine rear main seal as its a gearbox off job to replace and its only a £10 part.
  9. It will always go into power mode with full throttle. When you push it all the way down you activate a switch at the bottom of the accelerator stroke that activates power mode. Why is stiff ? - Hmm..could be a seized switched or it could be this issue - http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=55080&highlight=kill
  10. Stock injectors are maxed out at around 14-15psi, and you should'nt really run them at 100% duty. Any higher and they will start to lean out which causes detonation. The Stock intercoolers are also pretty much doing the very best they can to cool the air at that boost. The stock turbos can handle up to around 18psi before they come innefficient, however lifespan is severely reduced. I would'nt run a set of old Stock Turbos up to that PSI Myself. You also have to consider the stock piston ring-lands and there vulnerablity to detonation at high boost levels.
  11. That actually sounds about correct for stock boost. The guage is in mm/hg or something like that and would only hit the 7 with increased boost. But as you know tHey are usually very innaccurate. Perform an ECU test to check for error codes http://www.ttzd.com/tech/diagnostictech.html
  12. The injectors themselves dont offer any power gain but they do allow you to run higher boost, along with the bigger Intercooler. The downpipes, decats, LW flywheel and LW propshaft all help with response, quicker revving, quicker spool up, less lag and each offer a small power increase that all adds up.
  13. With that setup I would run 15-16 psi as a high settings and would expect around 390-410 fwhp Most of your modifications will help with response, turbo spool up and getting that extra power to the rear wheels.
  14. Yes, Thats Jason Farrows, its nicknamed the Beast
  15. Then its Engine related. Hard to tell without seeing it myself, but you could just be experiencing normal cold start engine braking ? - The oil is thicker, all the metal parts have tigher tolereances - there is generally more friction so everything feels tighter including natural engine braking. The engine is also using its cold start fuel maps which affects driveablity.
  16. Looks fantastic
  17. does it do it if you push the clutch in ?
  18. Im going to have to start collecting payments asap, details to follow. Sorry about short notice but spaces for the event are filling up fast and I need to get payment to the organisers asap. 20. Modern cars are very good at separating combustion gasses from contaminating oil, and oil technology has progressed further that lifespan is extended. Modern cars also tend to recommend the use of Long-life oils and other fluids. However, they are also increasingly stating longer and longer service intervals as part of there low cost ownership advertisements and personally I would do intermediate oil changes every 8-10k mile
