  1. If its got a 120mph face then all thats been done on your current clocks is that somebody has changed the KPH face for a MPH face. Its still working in KPH, but your just seeing the translated speed in MPH from the different face. Fitting the 320 KPH clocks should therefore also read in KPH...unless somebody has changed the resistor inside the clocks for them to read in MPH.
  2. no idea about compatibility, although I know somebody who has done manual conversion on both so will see if I can find out from him.
  3. its the Booster thats expensive, somewhere in region of £400
  4. Yeah, they are effectively washers, that space out the upper arms. You dont get as much adjustment as you do with aftermarket arms though and you dont get the benefit of spherical Rose joint bushings, so its a good idea to polybush the stock arms instead.
  5. The Superstreet and flex (the ones I mentioned and the most popular Tein models ) are not monotube and the Superstreets height adjustment isn't even independent. They have a good on hold on the market, but are generally overhyped. Quality is not that great. The tein monoflex is monotube, but I'd rather go with the HSD/SPL/Powertrix/KTS coilover. The higher end Tein stuff (£2k+) apparently uses better quality parts but if I was going high-end then my money would also go elsewhere. (like Zeal, Nitron or Arogosta)
  6.  :rofl:  :rofl:
  7. Ganador mirrors are what DarksideTT has above ^^^ I think the Veilside mirrors are the same or at least very similar. Bomex also do mirrors but they look sh*te IMO, you can see the fibreglass carcass from the front of them which looks terrible and they are too small to see out of properly.
  8. Interesting. Cant say I've ever heard of that before or seen it in any of the Nissan 99spec brochures. I've also never heard of Nissan ever releasing a "Nismo" version of the 300zx in 99 or any other year.
  9. HSD coilovers are the same as the SPL and Powertrix coilovers which are probably the most track tested coilovers used on the 300zx. They are also the coilovers sold by Driftworks in the UK. (edit: Just seen ebay advert, that is driftworks selling them on ebay) They are a Monotube shock with Independent height adjustment and 15-way damping control, using 8kg/6kg Spring rates. A mid level coilover system with good reputation for quality and performance. I would happily take any day them over Tein Superstreet and Tein Flex or any of the cheap Chinese made suspension (ksport, d2..etc).
  10. Poor car :( :( I'm all for "each to there own" and all that, but You'd have to be really ****ed in the head to think that looked good, especially from the rear. The wheels dont even fill the arches, makes it look likes it on 20" spacesavers.
  11. You will want a Sealed battery for having it inside and a Drycell is a better option as no need for venting fumes or any risk of spillage. Plus they can be mounted upside down or on their side if needed. Mine is 6kg vs typical 16-18kg, although not suitable for big ICE installs...but you can get Drycells that are suited for ICE builds.
  12. LOL although Im very hairy now instead
  13. Yes, but no pics.....mine is a SWB and I've hidden a Lightweight drycell battering inside the boot trim out of sight, wouldn't be able to do that on a LWB.
  14. Whats happened...its turned into a weight watchers site - You Bunch of girls !
  15. If your on standard tubs, injectors...etc then I would'nt bother. You can get the standard ECU remapped on a rolling road instead if your want to have it mapped for your exact vehicle, John Dixon is the man to speak to about it. When your looking at 500hp+ then the advantages of a Map sensor and greater programming control plus more places able to map it become an advantage.
  16. Those guys have sold several used 99 front bumpers...and now rear lights......its as if they are breaking 99spec zed's in japan
  17. here http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=122118
  18. Speed sensor is on the side of the gearbox (drivers side). Jefftt put up a good thread recently about a quick fix for Speed sensor issues
  19. Most like to be either the MPH speed convertor on its way out (if you have one fitted) or your speed sensor.
  20. Stillen lip. MJP is a UK stillen distributor I believe
  21. The standard supra front end is its worst feature IMO, and this new one is less blend but still not much of a looker
  22. One of the benefits of the 300zx - Different versions offer different driving experiences. The LWB and Convertible are certainly more Tourer orientated than the sportier SWB/Slicktop. Then the choice between TT and NA offer different experiences, as does gearbox choice. But nothing to stop you turning a LWB into a stripped out Beast on the track, or a SWB as a luxury cruiser with full ICE install.
  23. 1. Legrath - 1 admission, 2 track 2. Zogg - 1 admission, 2 track 3. Lisa - 2 admission, 2 track 4. Red zed - 1 admission, 2 track 5. Borderzed - 3 admission, 3 track 6. Old_zed - 1 admission, 4 track 7. Funkyboogalooo - 2 admission, 0 track (track may be an option later if any spaces available and I have money) 8. madmarco - 1 admission, 2 track
  24. The Crossover year for the NA brakes was in 92. pre 92 was 26mm thick, post 92 was 30mm(TT brakes). As a 92 car you would have to check which size you have Im afraid.
  25. 25kg is not going to make any real difference on its own, if you were taking it drag racing or something you can always just remove them for the event.
