  1. My Manual TT with stock boost did a 5.6 secs 0-60 using Nissan Datascan. When I then increased boost to 14.5psi (everything else the same), and tried again I managed a 4.7 secs 0-60 0-100mph dropped by over 2secs

You keep calling J1mmytt , Jimmer , confusing (two different forum members)
  3. 100% surely Dave ? its a Z32 Club
  4. UK cars have different cruise control settings to Imports. You can fit a UK cruise control ECU into a Import so fix that.
  5. Its mmHg x100 , and is millimeters of mercury 700mmHg is about 14psi
  6. no it does'nt brake, it cant, all it does is lift off to maintain the correct speed.
  7. Congrats, good to hear. A very good choice of Z too
  8. some of them measure rpm and speed to calculate how long to leave it on themselves.
  9. More pics of the grey one at start of thread.
  10. It depends on how hard the car has been pushed. 2-3 mins if you just been thrashing it about everywhere would be safe. Whereas, If you've been driving it steady for the last few miles, then no need for turbo timer to be used.
  11. It has to be an oil leak burning off in the engine bay to be able to smell it through the vents. As its burning off, you wont nessarily get any excess leaking to the ground. Rocker cover gaskets is the most likely issue.
  12. ah, I missed the bit about speedo not working. As said this is either an issue with your speed sensor, Mph>kph convertor (if you have one), or a speedo circuitboard dry joint.
  13. I presume its got an accelerometer. There are lots of devices out there that do the same, G-tech being probably the most popular, but you can even get software to do it on your iphone now. You would need to input the vehicles weight into it somehow.
  14. Welcome  This problem typically occurs when the Hicas system gets abnormal signals from the steering. Do you have an aftermarket or a stock steering wheel ? If you have aftermarket steering wheel then sounds like you have a non-hicas Steering Boss fitted to it ? or if you have a stock steering wheel then sounds like its not on straight ?
  15. There is no advantages to increasing the stock pressure, it does not reduce coolant temps it only increases the temperature of the fluid at which point it boils. If the Coolant temp is boiling with the stock cap then you have problems elsewhere and adding a higher pressure cap will only make things worse. There are downsides in regards to the extra pressure placed on the radiator, pipes and waterpump - an increased risk of leaks. Thats not to say you will encounter problems. If you have one and its been fine then fair enough, up to you if you want to revert back to stock , but there is no reason for somebody to replace a stock cap with a higher pressure cap.
  16. Thats excellent. Should be really helpfull to some. I had a bit of a play with it, to show how it can be simplified, like I have done to my own Z :
  17. Both electric seats was standard for all series 2 and series 3, UK & Jap, but heated was an optional extra
  18. The UK had 3 point rear belts for all years.
  19. They are the lighter alloy calipers. Nissan reverted to the Iron calipers later on.
  20. S1 07/1989 - 08/1992 S2 08/1992 - 09/1993 S3 09/1993 - 10/1994 S4 10/1994 - 01/1997 S5 01/1997 - 10/1998 S6 10/1998 - 09/2000 Based on manufactured date ofcourse, not registered date. There are crossovers change between years, and differences between UK and Japan.
  21. It has got nice wheels - 18" Volk racing, far nicer than the vast majority of wheels on Z's (presuming your talking about the Pink Z in the link like the rest of us, and not the nasty pink Z with white wheels that Si posted up?)
  22. Good point about selling the Cats, forgot about that. Prices not as good as they were, it was 60 each, but still 60 for the pair is good.
  23. 94 is the crossover S3/S4 year. But since you mentioned the Tweed its going to be a S4. I think we have hijacked this guys thread now, sry fella.
  24. Welcome
  25. Dont look too bad to me. Pink does'nt have so much of the "girls colour" stigma in Japan like it does here.
