  1. you wont need spring compressors, the existing dampner and spring comes off in one. Fitting is straight forward, the only hassle is having to remove all your boot trim to get to the top bolts. A Torque wrench comes in handy, and torque settings are usually given and can be checked in the online Z manual. It should come with details on how to setup the preload and adjust the height. You'll need adjustable arms front and back if you dont already have them, and the entire alignment redone after you have set your desired ride height.
  2. Just what I was about to say - light steering is a classic symptom of fitting a KPH>MPH convertor
  3. You've still got and keeping the silver TT ?

Still think you should stick to the 2-tone but go ice White and the current black though

Go for the Audi ice white ....one of my favourite colours lately. Stunning
  9. I like the blended in louvers
  10. I'd be hard pressed to choose between them, I like them both.
  11. The M5 without a doubt. its a FAR better car. The Monaro gets praise because of how capable it is for such a low price , but their is no question the M5 is a far superior car. Plus the Monaro just looks like an omega with a bodykit on it. Does'nt appeal to me in the slightest.
  12. I took it that you meant the petrol version ? The 330d might be a better option.
  13. I would consider it a fast expensive motor rather than a sensible economical daily driver. What sort of mpg you after, its probably a little better than a Zed, but not by a lot. Same power as a NA Z, but its a little heavier. Combined with newer tech probably give you a very similar mpg to a NA Z. 25mpg average, 30mpg on a run.
  14. Do you have an aftermarket boost gauge ? if the car is in safety mode then boost jets wont make a difference. The same can apply if you have a boost leak.
  15. Andy @ Zxtreme is very knowledgable and experienced, if he is closest them I would definatly try him first. Zxtreme tend to specialise in Rebuilds and Big projects which tend to have waiting lists, whereas Zedworld cater more for servicing and general work so may be able to fit you in easier if Zxtreme can't.
  16. Also take a look at Mac_1's spec, out club chairman, and probably the highest HP Z in the UK with "currently" around 600 at the rear wheels (700'ish at the flywheel)...but he has more to come. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=32 I think Mac's planned next step it so see around 700 at the wheels (800'ish fly) without NOS.
  17. If you stick with the VG30DETT, and your after really BIG power then this is the sort of engine build you want to be looking at : http://www.importpartspro.com/st5vgloblni3.html ^^ I would take that list to Jimmer, as the basis for your engine spec You could get away with the Stage 5 setup instead, the difference being the solid lifters with Stage 6 which will allow for a higher rev limit to be aimed for. and these are the tubs I would go for : SZ-EXP90 http://www.specialtyz.com/turbos.htm You will also need be looking at 360degree fuel rail and sard 850cc injectors Twin Fuel pump setup Custom ECU Management Larger intake pipeing 3" intercooler pipeing AMS/MS Manifolds Divorced downpipes and decats Much stronger Clutch
  18. Slapping some tubs on it would be a different story though, I'd prefer the NA setup myself, but if you wanted Big power, and wanted it for less then thats the option to go for with the V8.
  19. Actaully yeh, and they've ruined it. I was looking at the old/current shape when I said German.
  20. Wanted : 23 friends to share lottery win.
  21. But Like I just said, splitscreen not possible as the camera was constantly moving - up, down, left, right , literally constantly instead of on a fixed platform - A deliberate decision Im sure so that splitscreen can be disproved.
  22. Noticed on the playback that the balls were not all perfectly lined up, so laser/superimposed not possible, and split screen also out of the question as the camera was not fixed, it was constantly (and deliberatly) always moving a little.
