Hi people, I am new to Zeds but am looking to buy one which is up for sale locally. The man says that it is a twin turbo, but the Turbo boost gauge goes from -7 to +7, and i see on many photos that some go from -14 to +14. Is this a single turbo model or twin?

 

The speedo has been changed from Jap KPH to uk MPH - would this have anything to do with it?

No such thing as a Single Turbo, unless the person has done the converation which is ALOT of work. The +14 you see is from UK cars which read in PSI, jap cars read in hmng which is -7 to +7(I Think).

HMNG? what does it stand for?

Its mmHg x100 , and is millimeters of mercury

 

700mmHg is about 14psi

just to confirm as well Pablito that the older 300zx model (the Z31) was a single turbo - but 99% of this site is about the newer Z32 twin turbo :)

im sure we had a Z31 owner on here - a white one (the car not the owner!) :D

Think i remember one or two coming through by mistake under the 300 guise

 

but they didnt stay once they relised it's all for 300zx z32 models
