big power and gearbox trouble
There are some previous threads on the subject. There are a lot of higher powered examples not having any gearbox issues, but some others have had problems, such as Mac_1. An aftermarket box, such as HKS or Hollinger is very expensive. There is the possibility of someting like a Tremec T56, but your looking at custom work for the bellhousing, propshaft, mounts ...etc Except the stock autobox ofcourse, its the Z's Achilles heel, made of chocolate and cant handle anywhere near as much as the Manual box. Specialist 3speed built autoboxes are used by some for drag racing.

electronic boost controllers and twin turbos?
Single solenoid is correct, plumbed in with T-piece together. Twin solenoids are just for "Improved accuracy" on some controllers, and nothing to do with the number of Turbos. Most popular and highly recommend Filter is the Apexi Induction kit.

Flashing dash warning light
If its been decatted then its possible that the cat warning sensor has been cut and the wire poked back up through the transmission tunnel.....and it may be catching on part of the handbrake mechanism causing it to short out.....and light up bulb.

Nice Zed on e-bay Usa
Vile. Thats that stupid ass bodykit we keep laughing at on zcentres site. plus the way the bumper is blended into the wings makes it look like its got two great big dents in it. from what angle could that look good...seriously...if you face the opposite direction maybe....but the sight of the monstrosity still burns your eyes.

Sound deadning
I did the Boot and rear wheel arches in my first Z. cant say I noticed any difference at all, but then tis not intended to really. Dynomat/Brownbread type stuff is to reduce resonance in the sheet metal from your Audio system. I believe there is separate stuff to help with road noise - thicker insulation material. I believe Funkysi has done most of his car.

TwinZ (peru) Rear bumper with diffuser
There are no UK retailers and its very unlikely there ever will be. I have enquired (on that thread) about individual shipping costs from Z1 to the UK...and for 5 of them. It maybe worthwhile us setting up a little group buy with Z1 ourselves. I dealt with the TwinZ guys a couple of years back in regards to becoming a UK trader of their front bumper and it was way too expensive to consider anything less than buying 20 direct from them.

TwinZ (peru) Rear bumper with diffuser
All depends on Numbers. Z1 want a min order of 25 before they will import from Peru

your opinions please
Sporty 4 door for under 3k.....I would'nt even consider a ford or vauxhall Bmw 3 series, 5 series, Audi A4, MkIV Golf - All vastly superior and in price range. or maybe an Evo or a Legacy if you wanted to go Jap.

rear trim above lights
There is a high chance of breaking by being shipped. Zcentre do sell the Brake light version, but they dont advertise it on their site as they wont post it. Its not so much that they are thin, they are actually pretty chunky and feel good quality. Its the overall length and weight and makes them suseptical to breaking. Nissan dealer is best method anyway, since they are the cheapest and you can just collect it from them yourself. I've posted Part numbers and Prices for Nissan dealer on first page.

boost gauge is never on -7???
It wont show full vacumn (-7) but it should be close, otherwise its a sign of a Vacumn(boost) leak in the system. However the stock gauge is very inaccurate.

rear trim above lights
MJP - http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=38 Zcentre - http://www.zcentre.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?cPath=21_22_27&products_id=104 (but as said, it costs 40pounds more when you add on the vat and carriage than just getting it from your local Nissan dealer )

rear trim above lights
Crazy....nearly double the price. Like most parts its much cheaper to just buy from Nissan dealer, and usually even cheaper through MJP.

new wheels
After 7 weeks of floating at sea they have finally arrived  They weren't quite advertised correctly, turns out they are Weds Farmas FD-V11 and they are not as light as advertised but still fairly light, doesn't matter, I'm happy. Need to wrap them in rubber now.
