  1. Welcome, your referring to : Your looking at Chassis number, and its referring to Engine number. Dont worry about it anyway, if your engine had these issues they would of shown themseves and been rectified many years ago. Its not relevent 20years later. That info should be removed from the buyers guide really.
  2. I believe most of those I mentioned charge between £75 and £150 to supply and fit one of their remapped chips to your ECU.
  3. Your main power increase will come from increasing the boost. You dont mention an increase in your spec. Most other mods are Supporting mods, designed to allow you to increase the boost and dont particulaly offer a significant increase themselves. Also....are you running a "superchips" branded chip ? If so, get rid and replace with a Chip from John Dixon, AndyP, DTA or Zedworld.
  4. I wouldn't say there is that many here with the 99spec fitted. 99spec :
  5. Just spotted the pipes for water/meth injection...they are entering the underside of the pipes (look next to cas)
  6. It is red though ! :p Some nice upgrades on it yes, they are a big upgrade over stock. Similar to the HKS 2530 in spec. 500+ bhp capable. Doesn't mention supporting mods though - Injectors, Intercoolers, ECU map. :/
  7. Mmm...yes like that a lot. Along with the early mustangs. Sorry, hate the pontiac. I would be embarassed to be seen in that.
  8. hmm....a very curious setup. I have no details on it, just a pic i found previously. Seems to have done away with IC's, so it must be running some sort of Water/Meth injection setup. If anyone recognises it then I would love to know more.
  9. oh, right. Its just I see a lot of Z's (imports) with the same plate but 1 or 2 numbers different.
  10. I did contact Z1 and Twinz, but only got a reply back from Z1. I enquired about the price of 5 units, and estimated shipping cost of 5 units on a Pallet to a single UK address would be $1800. Takeing into account the $724 Bumper price, your looking at an Individual total price of $1084 ....about £700 each, which with Further UK shipping to individual addresses plus Import tax & vat, your looking at a final price of approx £850 each I was going to follow this up with a potential group buy, but I've decided not to go ahead with a purchase myself at this time, so Im offering up the information in case anybody else wants to continue it. Z1 are looking for $100 deposits by April 15th. It will be 8-12 weeks before Z1 receive the bumpers when final payment is due.
  11. That would suggest it was originally imported and registerd along with yours. Says imported 2002, same as yours ?
  12. that FMIC will FAR out perform the stock intercoolers (have you seen the pathetic size of stock IC's!) , and if its a genuine HKS then its worth a pretty penny too. Also, it acts as SMIC's, but just fixed together- Note seam in middle, and both an inlet and outlet on each side. The angle its mounted at offers a larger frontal surface area, and greater fin surface contact.
  13. no that first pic is just the standard sticker in place. 2nd pic is with sticker removed. Just a black sticker stuck to the spoiler.
  14. You can not remove that part, spoiler is a 1-piece item. It usually has a black sticker over it, but some people remove it. with the standard sticker in place : Otherwise I believe you are possibly referring to the aftermarket Kaminari Spoiler, which looks similar to stock, but is quite a bit larger and has the cut out for perspex strip,
  15. The stock 89-94 Spoiler covers the area where the perspex strip goes. You can't have both at same time. The 94-98 Spoiler equipped cars have the perspex strip, as does the 99spec spoiler equipped cars.
  16. CHEDDAR GORGE PISTONHEADS MEETING - 18TH APRIL 2010 140+ cars Confirmed so far http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=819109 http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=338894082542
  17. The pipe on the very far left with the bleed point is the Clutch bleed piping. This can be removed and replaced with single braided pipe from Master to slave (zcentre sells one). The cylinder device is for the hicas and can only be removed if you get rid of the Hicas.
  18. Jack where it points to safety stand points to get it high enough to fit ramp underneath.
  19. Jack from side. Behind front wheel. and In front of rear wheel.
  20. Jack car up, put ramp under wheel. Let jack down. Repeat.
  21. Massive Pistonheads meet at Cheddar on 18th April. 140 cars confirmed so far.
  22. LOL Superb. I want to build one. Found this :
  23. I agree. However I dont have a Luxo-GT like most Z's...... I have a Slicktop
  24. I removed mine, but there is good reason for that - its being built for pure Fast road & track use. The car will never be sat in traffic in mid july. I've spent a lot of time concentrating on weight reduction.....and so to leave in something as bulky and heavy as the aircon just wouldn't be right. If my car wasn't being built for this purpose then I would keep it. Removing it in your typical road going Z thats not on a complete weigth reduction program would be bit pointless imo. What I have done though is to retain the factory pipeing into bulkhead and the Aircon unit in dash, so if I ever wanted to refit it would be straigthforward for me to do, which I may well do if I was to ever take it on a Summer european road trip or similar. tbh though, all my Daily drivers have always had aircon....and I've switched it on for maybe 2-3 days in the entire year.
