  1. a Nissan Cube ! :D or a old Nissan Vanette
  2. More news : I have made contact with TwinZ, re: UK supply and potential group buy. Will keep everyone updated.
  3. The problem you mentioned is related to the early style Injectors for the 89-94 300zx, and is only an issue in the U.S due to the introduction of high ethanol content in their fuel over recent years. Its not related to the brand, its to do with all of the early style injectors, and its not something we have a problem with here. Dont worry about it. What they tend to do in the U.S instead is fit the later style Nismo pintle-less injectors using adaptor kits or the later style fuel rails and lower plenum.
  4. LOL @ retro eyes. You summed up my earlier point with a new term :)
  5. 140-160 is a realistic figure
  6. There is no camping at Japfest. If you pay for admission now with Zclub then its cheaper and you get access to the Z Stand area with the rest of the Z's. If you only turn up and pay on the day then you have to park out in the public car parks. Unless you contact MadMarco (Z stand organiser) in advance and see if he can make arrangements.
  7. Any good ? http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi
  8. Brake booster/servo pipe, MJP/Nissan or put a wanted post up, Im sure somebody will have one of a breaker.

  11. propshaft related issues will not cause a shake through the steering wheel. (you will feel it through the car itself - seat, floor, pedals..etc). If you've ruled out wheel balance and spigot rings, then check your tension rod bushes. THey are fairly easy to visually check as they are Gel filled and so any fluid leaks from around the bush is a clear indication of a worn bush. Other option is to jack the front up and check for movement in the wheel manually.
  12. damn, yeh its very convincing. Even has loads of speel about reccomending you use improved installers for their products..etc..etc How about contacting : http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/member.php?u=5739 Car Alarm fitter, may be able to help.

  16. Looks great. A Very clean install. Its going to be a very special Z indeed.
  17. yes, between SWB and LWB there was a small price difference (in the same way Estates cost more New than the saloon version LOL), My point is that they did not make them to be a cheaper option, just two different styles. The slicktop was cheapest though, as you say becuase all the standard extra's that came on Targa models were not standard on the Slicktop. So you could have a back to basics sports car option. You had to add the stuff on as options if you wanted them. Although my slicktop came with everything - Electric seats, cruise, digital aircon ..etc - which would of cost the same (or more) as a Targa model.
  18. Its not a cheaper option, its a variance in lineup - Some people prefer 2seater sports cars, others prefer 2+2's. The original Z's (240z) were all 2seaters, then Nissan started offerign 2+2 varients with the 260z onwards. The SWB is meant as the Sportier model and the LWB is the Grand Touring model. They drive very differently. The SWB is quicker and more nimble, while the LWB has room for small children/amputee's or luggage for a long road trip. In the U.S (the Z's biggest market) all Twin Turbos are SWB, and LWB's are Non-turbo.
  19. LWB also referred to as 2+2 SWB also referred to as 2+0 As said the quickest/easiest way to tell from the outside is the petrol cap location. Overall length difference is 8.5". Wheelbase length differnce is about 5". Weight difference is about 50kg (targa model) LWB has rear seats, whereas the SWB is a 2seater with a deeper boot. LWB only avilable with Targa roof. SWB Available as Targa, Slicktop and Convertible. All UK models are LWB TT. SWB only available here as Japanese Import, and in TT or NA.
  20. Because they are using NA box with larger diamter TT flywheel. Bellhousing differs between NA and TT boxes.
  21. Same starter motor for all models.
  22. An S30 (240z/260z) would be my first choice, but failing that then a 510 seems like an ideal candidate. Either go the ful sleeper mode, or something like this :
  23. The 2000 Roadster is sexy, but big ££
