  1. Most of the cars in this thread look like Austin Allegro's or old Lada's with some bling alloys and loweres suspension, and were pretty awfull cars in their day.....but suddenly they become "Cool" becuase they are now classic.
  2. Positive camber
  3. LOL the one at end is like "wtf you all going?, I thought we were doing the head tilting thing"
  4. I remember the old series, neighbour had the boxset which I used to watch when younger. Just watched the 1st two episodes. Not bad, has potential.
  5. Shunter is still around. Just not here.
  6. Rears are the same for both models, all years. As for the fronts : All TT's and 91onward NA's use the same Brake setup with a 280mmx28mm Disc. 89-91 NA's use a Narrower 26mm Disc, and caliper to suit. There can be some crossover between years and confusion over manufacturing dates, so the best way to confirm is to measure the disc diameter with a Digial Caliper.
  7. Bazza owns that car now
  8. No cars like that confirmed on the list, they wont be able to join them in the Reserved parking so they will just be like any other members of the public - Having to park elsewhere and pay the £4 parking. Its being done for charity with donations requested from all participants. Unfortunatly if any Z's turn up, it would have to be to view the cars and not to join in since we did not join officially with them.
  9. Just wrap up the extra length underneath the battery tray out of sight.
  10. All paid up for Z stand pass and Track time :) Just got to work out if Im taking the slicktop (ha!) or hitching with a fellow zedder.
  11. Welcome. You've put the thumbnail pics in your rides rather than the fullsize pics, so they are a little on the small side. I recognise the Z though, trying to remembere where I've seen it.....
  12. SET = The desired boost setting (as a percentage 0-100% (OFF to MAX Boost available) GAIN = Boost response/consistency. Too low will mean its slow to boost and too high will cause spiking SET GAIN = Is the lowest pressure that the greddy will wait for before building boost. You want this to be around 3psi less than the boost setting your after. First change it from Kpa to PSI according to instructions. Put the Set Boost on around 30% , and leave the GAIN at 0. Put the SET GAIN on 3psi less than your desired setting (so i you want 14psi then put it on 11psi). Take it up the road and in 3rd gear see what boost your getting. Increase the SET Boost by around 5% till you get the desired boost. Then you want to increase the gain, start at 5 and go up in 5's. You want to find the point where it starts to spike and then turn it down a little. You should'nt need to go over 20. Once your getting the correct boost with no spiking you can set the Warning a little above your desired boost setting.
  13. why? Both offer some of the best range of cars in the World.
  14. Agreed, Thats where my money would go a new(ish) A3/S3, Golf R32, Sirocco, Bmw 1/3 ....or a 10yr old Porsche 911 (996) :devil2:
  15. its been arranged with them I believe. They are having Car parks Coned off for them..etc Looks like a very interesting list of cars - mostly high-end exotics - Ferrari's, Lambo's, ..etc quite a few TVR's, and some rare classics in the mix too. Unfortuantly, They are not accepting any more cars now.
  16. You will find it easier to remove the prop if you can spin the rear wheels to access all of the propshaft bolts, so put ramps at front, axle stands at rear.
  17. Car is about 6" high as standard, so you need jack to lift it 12". The job is usually done with 4 ramps, but sometimes 2 ramps and 2 axle stands. Does'nt matter either way.
  18. I can confirm that the ramps provide enough clearance for manual conversion. Have removed at least a dozen Z gearboxes and refitted with the car on Ramps/axle stands. Sometimes its easier just to do it like that than to get it on the 2 poster ramp becuase it becomes a 1 person job, rather than a 2 person.
  19. what do you need it 18" high for ? You should'nt need to go any higher than a jack & axle stands plus ramps can provide. Bear in mind the car is already about 6" off the ground (floor to sills height) normally.
  20. yes, they are ideal. Always handy to have a set. Im sure thats quite a bit more than they used to cost from Halfords though.
  21. If any SWB owners are going ahead with the purchase then you only have a few more days to pay Z1 your deposit. Type II Type I
  22. 313 bhp is a very respectable figure for stock boost levels. Yes, increasing the boost to around 13-14psi will give you a very noticable power increase.
  23. Nice one !! Get your name down - Top of the leader board ! :D http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=113508
  24. Happy Birthday Si
