  1. Happy birthday :balloon:.
  2. You'll have to put up an email address or your mobile and then we can liaise from there :thumbup1:.
  3. Not been released Brian as yet .
  4. That is correct, reading a typo, the devil gets a few minutes to cause mischief because his name is mentioned 3 times, twice by Rik and once by Neil, I spell it differently to as Rik, Ben Elton and Lise Mayer penned it - they spell it Ftumch.
  5. Terrible terrible news...this afternoon I was totally shocked to learn that the peoples poet as passed away at only 56. My very own user name is from the ground breaking 'The Young Ones' and feel it's my duty to start this thread. Lord Flashheart, Alan B'stard, Drop Dead Fred, the list goes on and on, I adored everything you did Rik x.
  6. That does seem about right and my hope is it will be confirmed further for you, once you get a tyre on with perhaps a shade of stretch it'll be fine. What tyres are you going for, I have vredestein ultrac sessanta and they do give the look of stretch without dropping the width and hence tuck under attractively.
  7. Happy birthday chum .
  8. I hope you're not daft enough to use the normal ones........just double check for me that those double A's are the rechargeable type :smartass:.
  9. The fact it was slipping would also be down to age, expect it was 20 years old. I'd get an aftermarket uprated one without a doubt, it doesn't answer your question but I would of expected a new standard OEM clutch to handle more than 320.
  10. I have asked that a couple of times recently and nobody seemed to know, I had the four pin one fit on my 1994 and then I bought another which was 5 pin, have fit both and as you state there is no difference :thumbup1:.
  11. Don't mention it, just glad you found all the replies helpful :tongue_smilie:. I cannot help as I have electronic hicas.
  12. Happy birthday you Cardiff boy you !!! Enjoy the championship :tt2:.
  13. Not sure how it come about but approx four years ago my local garage fit me a Banner battery very similar if not a 068 type, it was the one down from the one they should of fit really according to the catalogue but it owes me nothing, as for most of this period I have been adding and fiddling with the car so hence flattening the battery on a constant basis and this took it's toll. The size of this Banner was 240mm in length, 175mm tall and in width, I think the one for my car they should of fit was 190mm or 202mm tall - enabling the stock clamps to fit. Below is a pic of said battery on the tray, please note I have removed the fins on either side of the tray - I noticed I could buy a bigger battery length wise. I could of crudely chopped the end off completely on the tray but in my wisdom I cut this out with dremel attachments. The new battery now fits on the tray and gives me 690cca and capacity 76aH, it's a Japanese Yausa battery apparently, hence the rising sun logo, is a 096 type which is also 100 it seems and cost me a bargain £47.00 delivered, the equivalent one in Halfords is over £100. The size of it is 278mm long and again 175mm in width and height, it is also possible to buy a battery with the same dimensions but 190mm tall. This extra height will put it nearer the earth strap cable as with my 175mm tall one it only just reached and was nearer once the battery tray was turned 180 degrees, 175mm it could be argued is better as the battery can be tilted and lifted out easy not fouling on the scuttle trim. This isn't just a battery size thread although the above may help, for the last year or so I've had starting issues, it would fire up when cold absolutely no bother but if I was to drive for 5, 10, 15 mins and then try and start again it just wouldn't fire and the battery would soon lose it's woomph, booster would come out and would help but was not forced to fire it as these boosters only have a small battery inside. Another problem I had would be I would turn the key to crank but would get nothing and after holding key on for anything up to 30 secs, it would eventually crank and start, usually did this from cold, thought this was the starter motor so one was bought but as yet not fit. I also swapped the ignitor and the MAF, made no difference. 3rd problem my car would false alarm, not always but mostly, usually within 10 mins of setting and so I couldn't trust it and locked with the key. Fitting this new battery as been one of the best jobs of late I've done as all these problems have disappeared overnight, starts now everytime with an extremely lively crank as you'd expect with 690cca, if your battery is perhaps on it's last legs or is 5 years old get it replaced - I say come on in the waters lovely !! The Z32 decal is my little touch btw.
  14. Indeed they do - I have plenty more, just not bothered to advertise them as yet, £17.50 delivered the pair, £10 each singles .
  15. You need a simple illuminated rocker switch, the power source for mine is the sidelight circuit, so therefore cannot come on without these being on first, second spade connector is of course grounded and the other goes to the rear to run your 21w red bulb which you'll need to splice in and/or have spades here to connect if you want a temporary set up like Joely suggests or has. Do not forget you must use the o/s chamber to meet MOT regs if going for that single red bulb.
  16. I am in full admiration of your rear also :blushing:.
  17. It's outside our Mill in Nelson, the skids have been there for a week and do go on for about 20metres, some idiot - I've got new tyres and am wanting to keep hold of the 8mm !!! It's fresh tarmac, not so long ago therefore it was stripped back to the cobbles which I much preferred :cool3:.
  18. 6 months tax today, so it just had to be a bit of cobweb blowing . Put a bit of the tesco 99 momentum in as usual, took it steady :tongue_smilie:, had 21.5psi out of it and I must say it was a joy as you'd imagine. Took a pic with an industrial background view over Nelson in Lancs, skid marks not mine btw :thumbup1:.
  19. Very nice......now sort your Z badge out !!
  20. One thing and another I didn't tax 1st April like I said...sorry !!, down to mainly getting the engine stuff powder coatered was the reason but having fit a new battery today and a cheeky tootle around the block where it ran sweetly, I am taxing from 1st June for 6 months, I keep checking the dvla tax site but it wont allow this yet as it says 1st May........I think not !!!!!! Expect it'll allow from midnight 31st. It's a Japanese Yausa battery apparently, 690cca with 76ah. The rising sun KATANA decal was on the other side so I had to swap....well of course, the Z32 decal is my little touch . EDIT : You may not notice but because this battery is 175mm high the oem battery clamp bolts would not fit as the threaded part does not go down far enough, so I used some threaded M6 rod, curling over the ends, I guess you could tap further down on the originals if you so wish. I have since got rid of the black foam neoprene fyi.
  21. Even the underneath looks great, think the powder coaters have done a great job, this was not touched be me so does still have the stippling. Assembled the throttle bodies and linkage, the new gaskets just sat a little proud so I had to give them a little trim. The cable guide looked a bit shabby so I rattle can sprayed it and yes it will just be seen if you peer in the throttle cable cover opening :cool3:.
  22. When I read the thread title Lee, I thought you meant you had all your St Georges stuff adorning your gaff :p.
  23. C'mon we can do better than 510cca, I've just got one with 690 with 74ah, gonna start a thread on it tomorrow, cost me £47.00 delivered.
  24. Yeah thanks for that Terry, took you all of one minute.......spoiling my guessing game, the two on the right do hold a bracket so I guess the reason in their wisdom NISSAN used bolts here instead of flange nuts, my dome nuts are nyloc ones so do bring out the stud when you undo !!!
