  1. I have tried with conzult but could never it going and spent hours, bought various usb leads, drivers, etc, however I borrowed a ECUtalk cable about a year ago and it was no bother. Then I acquired a Blazt one - (thank you Lee Dent) - I did try it with Datascan software but realized I needed a driver for the lead to progress and got Leadtek GPS USB to UART Bridge downloaded for free and installed perfectly. I still was struggling still trying the Datascan until I tried the ECUtalk 1.3.5.42299 software, once installed I put the drop down on COM17 as I saw this when the driver installed and all works a treat :thumbup1:.

  6. These have never been fit as I bought a full kit from the USA just for the red hoses to match my colour sheme and thought in time I would have a full kit to sell on to re coup some of the cost. I have polished these up some more removing any scuffs from shipping/storage. Come with 16 unused t-clamps and all the 8 blue silicone hoses needed, 4 of these 8 are used but are in perfect condition. I want please £80 delivered clear funds please either paypal gift, you pay the fees on top if you must, bank transfer is also good. I'll use a 2 day myHermes delivery service.
  7. Got quite a few pairs and instead of me keep hoarding them it might be a good idea to see if anybody would like a pair. 8. What.......you mended a Dewalt charger ????
  9. I didn't do any masking up myself as the place I took it blasted it first and then they did mask, suppose if you ask for it back after a blast they will allow you to prep all you like, I would advise putting bolts in a turn as the coating does hinder some of the bolts starting but a twirl with a tap soon sorts it. The gasket faces were masked up yes, but again I didn't do. Please bear in mind that I do know the company personally, rocker covers, balance bar and the plenum cost me £150.00. Gauging off that the plenum cost £70.00 perhaps.
  10. There's load listed from same seller for ermmm £47.00....not difficult to find :p. I didn't but if you want to just confirm the terminals on the one he sends are the correct way round and to make sure you want a Katana then I'd advise a message to make sure, you get a free air freshener as well so happy days !! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MARINE-LEISURE-12V-76-AH-680-CCA-AMPS-CAR-BATTERY-096-100-12V-HEAVY-DUTY-SEALED-/290968613821?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item43bf14b3bd

  14. Please check out this thread where I got a massive Yausa battery from ebay for £47.00 delivered practically next day, still on ebay I have just checked. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?177259-Larger-battery-fitting-type-sizes-power-etc&p=1822108#post1822108
  15. That's another thing I forgot to say, he did offer me his couch and an evening meal but I declined and booked myself in at the fabulous tremendous value for money brand new Premier Inn in Shrewsbury. Lee kindly dropped me there after work on the Monday when I checked in. He then collected me after check out at 10am next morning after I had the eat all you can full English of course !! Superb all round service, thank you Lee.
  16. Not a fan of the carbon dipping Ian and certainly not going back to using a standard throttle cover. Forgot to say.....Lee of course plugged it in and having set the TPS, I then had the all clear with code 55. Lee also gave it an oil and coolant change as you would expect :cool3:.
  17. Final few now . Chrome plated power steering pot. The Blitz BOV's have not been touched. I could perhaps look into doing something with the timing cover but for now I am pleased how it's all turned out and my colour choices, hope you like.
  18. You can see the coil pack brackets in this shot that I got from Ceejay :thumbup1:. Nice and flat Metallic Grey (Gunmetal) powder coated plenum. Powder coated Chrome Silver colour - much much better than polishing them. Some metallic silicone boost hose and of course the chrome silver again powder coated balance bar. Also my bespoke made decal on polished plinth.
  19. Here we go then, first one I took down at Lees after the work was done, it started no bother . Another taken at Denty's. Now back home and taken on my drive, the fuel filter was gold and didn't match so it was sprayed whilst it was off with what I had, wish I'd of taken a metallic grey in a rattle can I have but never mind it's not too bad.
  20. Having spent 2 days working with Zee Dent in Shrewsbury all my bling bits are now on. Going to be pic heavy a little later but I'll start off with these, now chrome plated Tein tension rods that I bought in the green coloured state from Baz, removed are the polybush stock ones, decal bought seperately and attached to identify. Next the Driftworks front upper adjustable camber arms, these were bought from Banzai Breakers, so thank you Paul. Immediately the car felt tighter and precise with both these added.
  21. Tut tut....all those different shades of blue, no spring covers near the throttle bodies and no diagram on the fuse box......tut tut . Oh and btw, please check out the following thread for copious pics of mine !! http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?175200-My-Chrome-Plating-Powder-Coating-and-Polishing-Thread
  22. You can run without a coolant bottle but I have just re fit mine and I keep it about middle on the dipstick. Always fill by the rad cap, keep it full.
  23. From 10am been working with Denty and we have more done now but for now just the one pic showing the powder coated rocker covers fitted, more pics tomorrow and I can say it's all looking very nice .
  24. I've just got free breakdown cover with my renewal with Fluxdirect through moneysupermarket, reading your escapades Graham not sure it's gonna be worth the paper it's written on but nevertheless it's on the sun visor. You certainly had an eventful day, at least you got it home without those ridiculous costs !!
  25. It is h3c for the lows on the Jspecs. However, you must consider buying yourself a HID light kit, I would advise H3, 55w with 4300, 5000 or 6000k colour.
