front lip ,what you all think
I too bought one off ebay, only £20.00 all in and offered it crudely up yesterday. Not sure though on where to attach exactly, whether to cut it down like the op did as our bumper doesn't lend itself so well for this 'universal' product or to have it body coloured or even to use at all !!

Headlight pre 99 fitted with Switchback DRL/Indicator
Oh yes that's right as the car itself does the flashing bit, i would have to keep touching the wire to live on and off to simulate flashing.

Headlight pre 99 fitted with Switchback DRL/Indicator
There's footage on the video isn't there of it actually flashing ? For everybody's information you do not have to use the indicator part if this was your wish, just don't connect the single yellow wire to the positive part of your loom, same can be said of the white part if you just wanted to use the tube as an indicator. Anyway, i do happen to have a pic of the amber in a trial fit.

Headlight pre 99 fitted with Switchback DRL/Indicator
Going to be packed in the morning, ready for Thursday shipping :thumbup1:. You can see the tube for sure but the idea is for them to be used as drl's.

HID Dips
You need to point your car a few meters from a wall/garage and look at the beam pattern first, could just be an adjustment issue - if so fingers crossed therefore your cogs aren't goosed !!

Headlight pre 99 fitted with Switchback DRL/Indicator
I got sent some stock headlights and my remit was to fit a switchback tube light. Not having done a pre 99 insert before i offered up the tube inside here and there and settled on the pattern you see on the video. The customer wanted some extra lights putting in for shows or showing off, at first i thought a subtle simple few 5mm leds round the back but these didn't cut it for brightness so i went for the full smd strip which can actually be seen between the main beam housing and the insert as i've not tried to hide. My usual fitment of 8 metal adjusting cogs were put in, on initial inspection of the 20 plus year old headlights only 3 of the 8 original ones were any good which meant all four adjusters were broken - a common scenario, the very well greased metal tamiya cogs work an absolute treat . Everything cleaned, 6000k 35w supplied HID's fitted with extension pieces and the usual new silica gel sachets siliconed down inside and here is a pic that shows the exit points for the wiring, grommets, etc. [video=youtube_share;LNcznImb3BI]

What did you do to your zed today?
I do have genuine 99 tail lights with stock bulbs, just working on something else different for myself and these are the inserts that i've prepared. You'll notice matching clear lenses which i have done before for someone..............well the lenses on the reverse light panel are also clear top and bottom :cool3:.

PowerZed forged engine rebuild
Nice discussion on the hg, i contemplated getting the cometic and was confused on different thicknesses and the more i read though the more i was put off. Upon reading i also came across the tomei ones and have seen no scare stories on the internet anywhere but pretty much the same was said about the oem ones, i plumped for oem like for like, as i have in excess of 500hp with no problem with the original one Nissan fitted in 1994.

Parts from China??
I must admit i do to, they do seem too good to be true though but as stuff the like, been overpriced for years ?? Does make you wonder where the driftworks or similar is made, probably the same province !!

Electrical wizard needed
There is a fix on Hotpoint washer pcb and that is to replace a certain capacitor with a larger one, sounds a very similar thing. Washers and boilers will only get so far in their cycle/program before indicating a failure to the user but you know that. It also sounds to me that it was intermittant to start with, have you checked every spade connection, often with great heat things begin to crumble/corrode.

Ooo....
I have one but the battery didn't last long !! Got it on ebay earlier this year and i think it was a few quid, cheaper than the link. You can set it to auto light up every 15mins or whatever........................think there's a clue there as to why the battery didn't last !!

Coloured 300ZX Light Up Reverse Light Panel !
I made this as a bit of fun and is totally unique. The offside chamber is fitted with a red 21w bulb, this acts quite legally as the fog light, the nearside chamber as the white reverse bulb fitted, just swap out the red fog bulb for a clear if you want to return both chambers back to factory setting, of course there's some very basic wiring to be done if you only want fog light at MOT time. The reverse panel can easily be changed over so i am thinking you could quite easily own this one as well as the one you have. If this panel didn't have the tiny corner repair i would want much more, but your eyes are not drawn to this surely, other than this it is in extremely good condition, a lot of work as gone into it, chroming, etc, anyone want this fun one off piece for £45.00 delivered ?

Coloured 300ZX Light Up Reverse Light Panel !
Colours are silver, yellow, red, white and green. I wanted to use blue but it was too dark so it was replaced with the silver. I tend now to stick with red illumination as it cannot be deemed illegal on the rear.

Coloured 300ZX Light Up Reverse Light Panel !
I received a panel and it was damaged on the corner so i fixed it up the best i could and decided to colour it up, something i had been thinking of doing for a while now, because i could basically !!! The inserts are all chrome wrapped to mimic facelift reverse panel with fitted EL sheet to give that subtle light at night. [video=youtube_share;IbWxfVAOgV4]

Forged Engine Parts Now Arrived - Happy Days !!
All stock Lee. Yes, a compression test was carried out on all 6 and it was not to my liking, i was contemplating forging anyway and as been on my mind ever since i upped the BHP, so time to do the internals which is a natural progression.
