  1. Forced Induction S4 Slicktop :: 1994 Nissan 300ZX (2014-12-07 14:55:27)
  2. Another set :thumbup1:. I keep hoping someone will list a pair not knowing what they have, hehe !! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JDM-99-Jspec-Nissan-300ZX-Fairlady-Z-Zenon-HID-Front-Head-lights-Lamps-RARE-/141498104432?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20f1f1ba70
  3. You could book a courier to collect it on a set day that's best for the seller, probably around £6.00 that's all, of course they'll need to pack it but if they're doing this then why don't they pop it to the post office but this'll cost you more with Royal Mail, let me know if you need further assistance.
  4. Happy birthday :cool3:.
  5. You need a H3, 55w and it's your choice on colour between 4300 - 6000k for the HID light kit for the dipped and yes a clean out is recommended and drop a few silica gel sachets in there before you put back together. The adjuster cogs may also be broken. Keep the stock 55w H1 bulbs for the highs. It is normal for the lows to go off when you switch to high beam, this is nearly always adapted by owners so that the lows stay on, think yourself lucky it's not been messed with and is a blank canvass for you.
  6. Having been sent a set of USDM headlights that differ greatly from our JDM or UK's.....they have 3 nipples on the lens for a start which as far as i am aware serve no purpose, the adjustments is bizzare, it seems the whole unit moves up and down as opposed to individual housing ones and boy they're heavy contraptions !! One thing that is the same is the projector which leads me on to why i am posting. I need to migrate over the LHD shield out of the USA units and into a JDM set of headlights. Therefore this pic shows them, the USA one hence driving on the right, is the shinier one on the right, the same shape shield is fitted both sides. The shield adjusts, i find these in the middle of their travel so this is where i put them. I have tried a little rig up with a standard H3C bulb and in positions nearer and then further away from the bulb and didn't notice any difference against the inside of my garage door.
  7. Happy Birthday :thumbup1:.
  8. Not necessarily, you can get heat resistant aluminium spray. Just that mine is powder coated and looks the dogs today as it will in a few years time.
  9. It's a lot of work and then upkeep once in situ, i'd always encourage powder coating them :thumbup1:.
  10. Do as Noel says and get JECS. I have these and from this seller iirc, i did buy 3 years ago and absolute no problems at all, giving me 580bhp* Expect another approx 20% in duty, etc. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6-600cc-Fuel-injectors-Nissan-Skyline-RB25DET-300zx-VG30DETT-Z32-Side-feed-/121494371090?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c49a0fb12 *with supporting mods !!
  11. Once you or i receive those reverse bulbs first we'll fit and take pics and a vid in action for my youtube channel :thumbup1:.
  12. I have answered the inquiry in a pm but for the record if your happy with your own panel to be converted i do like to work that way and it's the cheapest option as well.
  13. I don't think Lee needs that in his life and anyway Graham it's not mint, i've spotted the rear number plate is cracked :detective:.
  14. Green outline when off instead of the 99 red genuine 300ZX look and then lights up green.......not a problem. The panel pictured in post 55 is now in this thread http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?179565-How-Nissan-Should-Of-Done-It-!!
  15. Easy !! For those that don't know......it's not the lighting up i am showing mainly here, more the red matching lens to the tails which will act as fog in the top chambers and the lower stock ones still using the factory reverse light bulb holders. All reverse light panels come as 2 x white reverse light chambers, ie giving light to therefore all four 'openings'.
  16. This is a genuine 99 spec panel that belongs to a friend of mine, i await some parts to come in order for the now adapted 2 x light chambers to be completed. Although the red 300ZX outwardly is exactly the same....well it is actually redder :thumbup1:. It lights up as well, might well look pinky or orange but it is in fact the perfect red !! And in practically complete darkness .
  17. Although correct Simon, you could be implying and worrying him that his current H3 HID's are causing his problem and that will not be the case at all. I too have HID H3c's bulbs to go in mine when i finish building my next headlights - will i notice a difference.....we'll see.
  18. Happy birthday .
  19. As Simon as said 4300k is perfect and should or will give you plenty more light than halogen, 5000k and 6000k is also good. I will presume you do have H3 ? Cleanliness is an issue but it's more likely as you imply they are abysmal that either you have not seated the bulbs correctly, this is easy done as you're doing it blind and/or your adjusters are broken - incredibly common. I am yet to notice any difference between ac or dc type hid lights, the ac ones have a chunky transformer in line, which is another thing to tuck away. EDIT: And also you state driving in the country, so you'll have your main beam on and this'll give you all the light you'll need ? As if you haven't modded this flicks the dipped off.
  20. It wont be long in coming now, currently doing two as it happens, one slightly different than the other - to customers remit :thumbup1:. This is a genuine facelift panel fyi.
  21. Well it's all i see !! And yes that is unfortunate, haha.
  22. Nice one Si, welcome to real Zed32 motoring !! Oh dear here we go :tongue_smilie:.
  23. Yes he did advise for incorrect signal colour as the movement is of course fast but when i turned the sidelights off and therefore showed him yellow/off/yellow/off he was happy, soon hoodwinked, haha and removed it. The place i go to i know them well and they're incredibly straight and isn't testing basically a lot of common sense based around the rule book.
  24. Welcome and pics already, thank you :cool3:.
  25. Welcome and i spotted that for sale as the number plate BFC caught my eye which is clearly Burnley Football Club !!
