  1. I reckon it might of been this type of stuff, just surprised absolute nobody as said this before :p.
  2. Go for it Richard, personally i always think black wheels give an aggressive look but don't go black, happy medium for me - you've seen my evoque wheels...get them done the same or very similar :cool3:.
  3. I'd go back and get one of their 12v relays as i'm sure these can operate receiving 9v, talk to them, just don't get the 6v one.
  4. Moving on and fast forward 2 years and the mercedes is long gone, sold it to the first person to view......wheels looked so good you see !! I now own a girlie baby Range Rover Dynamic and the wheels again were tatty, so i took to the same shop and this is what i did with them. I bought some wheels to be going along with whilst mine got the refurb, the exact same style with a view to later selling, completely silver and although nice enough they just don't have that classy look i wanted or what they were like before when i purchased the Evoque. Gave my remit to the powder coaters and after a few trials/my visits, ended up with this.... I am told it involves a total strip back, then black powder coat, a wet water based chrome system i believe and i then chose a gloss lacquer as opposed to a matt one. They are basically done initially all black and then the faces are done chrome, this does cause some slight over spray running into the black, i was well aware of this and all goes with the look. The powder coaters have not done this before but we got our heads together on this job, here they are fitted. All fitted with new scorpion verde pirelli tyres, i like these tyres, aesthetically very nice. All fitted with brand new Range Rover factory center caps to finish them off beautifully, really happy with these wheels now.....might give you an idea for your zed's wheels or your daily :).
  5. That looks like Arnie at the end of T2.....I can't self terminate !! Nice plates Joel, good work .
  6. On first glance i thought 'slicktop' ? So there lies my thoughts on the roof, just takes the slicktop look away from it but standing besides though might be completely different. It does flow through though saying that, something seen on today's cars.
  7. I know a Shaun or Sean from Preston who had a zed and i have his number, it wasn't a vert though unless he's got one in the last couple of years because it's that long since we met/spoke ?
  8. Stock all day long :cool3:.
  9. I don't need much if anything better than i already have for when i rebuild but a nice addition is a never fitted engine splash guard, part number 75892-40P00, now NLA i believe. Whilst collecting it today i also got a front fog light, including the side pieces...these always come in a handy moving forward. I still await my respray for those that wonder, no rush just like before really but i'd declare it SORN anyway over the winter when hopefully it'll get done :).
  10. At least the air freshener is happy !! It's debatable on their legality but unless those are switchback halos then i cannot see any other signal on the front. EDIT: On looking again, there could be a strip in the top of the fog light aperture, my guess though it's crude.
  11. Pretty yes..........power not so much .
  12. Very nice thread Andrew, wonderfully put together, a joy to scroll through .
  13. Happy birthday Lee :cool3:.
  14. Not too tight, i have a double garage and with storage cupboards/garage type things stored in there, i have similar room to what you have. Invaluable that Lee, make sure it's securely locked, security lights, shed alarm or better, etc, i know you have your camera trained on it but you need deterrents :cool3:.
  15. And a number plate bulb :p. Nice work that man.
  16. In need of work and not including restoration mates rates costs :).
  17. Coated your caps in cake ?? Odd thing to do i must say.
  18. You wont be going back to Liverpool then in a hurry :p.
  19. Certainly as a lot going for it and i can certainly understand the price. The only thing you can do with it though is mothball it, isn't it ?
  20. Think you're being incredibly polite to it, 3 modes :p, it just moves up from cold/rest and sits somewhere in the middle of the range - crossing its arms and muttering 'no matter what happens my remit is not to move a muscle' !!
  21. Happy birthday Bruce .
  22. You've finally got a girlfriend ? Only fools and horses work, nananana.....nananana !!! You should be very proud of yourself :w00t:.
  23. Not sure Gaz has realized he puts it about a bit :online2long:. https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/memberlist.php?order=desc&sort=posts&pp=30
  24. This happens all the time to us, we park well away from store entrances because we don't want our car pranging, we're not lazy and we don't mind the extra 50 yard walk that takes 10 secs if that but people do all clump together it's bizarre and i believe it is from followers rather than leaders because there is an incredible amount more of the former than the latter.
  25. Congrats Lord znut or is it Sir Brian of the Wirral .
