  1. Well good luck with that, i hit one that ruined my tyre about a year ago and the stance they took was 'because we don't know about it then we've not had the opportunity to mend, so do one basically !!! Our UK roads are in an appalling condition but at 4 and 5 degree nights the councils continue to throw salt down - go figure !!
  2. I am still using the same simple Pioneer head unit from when i purchased the car in 2009, although it works a treat still, it is prehistoric in technology terms to say the least, so when i'm back up and running this year i'll fit this bundle of goodies......
  3. Thank you everybody, all your comments are greatly appreciated although my age isn't !!!
  4. Happy Birthday Andrew, have a good day :thumbup1:.
  5. You'll just get used to it and then come home !! We often stood on the concourse a while checking my map, signs, etc, and almost always got the correct train, if it goes the wrong direction you cannot just jump on the other side/platform to get you 'back'. Some trains are 'local', for instance the one back to Narita was an express one, hour and a quarter journey, so it missed stops out, so standing on the platform we had to let 2 trains go by before the express one, bang on time of course, we also asked the guards to be sure, they're more than happy to assist even with broken English they show you the train time required on their ipad screen, they're so sweet and helpful. What a wonderful country Japan, puts England to shame - enjoy your evening :cool3:.
  6. He doesn't need the airbag itself sending :o.
  7. Consider it no..... He has a 96 car, he keeps his '96 wheel with a working airbag. If he wants a 91 steering wheel then he buys a 91 car, check out about post 338 for my retrimmed beautiful alcantara wheel. https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?175200-My-Chrome-Plating-Powder-Coating-and-Polishing-Thread/page9
  8. You get it refurbished with Mondo, be as good as new after - keep oem do not do the latter.
  9. Talking of Stillen... Me again, there were a few cars with 99 insert headlights you may notice, some of which weren't genuine - think they said 'real speed' on them.
  10. Need to correct something here, the owners Z is on the left in this pic and the other guys SWB is on the right - a domestic pilot he his apparently !! Owners Z...... And here the pilot is, beautiful this car - i sat in it, dreaming of owning a TT SWB myself !! And the rear of it, they moved and put them all in a line for my wife and i, the white one you see in the garage was also for sale but again another auto LWB.
  11. SWB's are like here, more scarce, they did have another for sale in the garage and the one i'm photo'd next to did have a cover on it initially and they said it was their best car but a steal i thought at £2000, i'm sure i've got that correct. I think people like here, keep hold of the truly most desirable. On my travels i spotted about 4 skylines but not one 300zx.
  12. We did but not overly keen on the anime, the locals love it but something i did want to see, 5 days and you should see most. There is a NISSAN shop in Ginza, amongst the high end shops, here are the pics...... Concept car... Skyline.... Me in said GTR... Its backside... Interior..... Goodies to purchase.....
  13. Here are the carts that i spotted on my travels, think it was near Diaba. Simon.......a visit to Euno where there are lots of market type shops and don't forget the famous crossing at Shibuya is a must. We got around with a Pasmo card each which we bought at Narita airport.
  14. The owner is on the right in this pic, he used to work for Tokyo Auto until he set up pro zone.
  15. You may need that because the owner speaks very little English, i was lucky as his son was there to translate. They were all so so nice and welcoming, i took more pictures and i'll upload at a later date. The yard is full of breakers/customer cars/ones for sale and their own, the one with me pictured they wanted only £2000 for it !! In this country it'd be worth way more, was an auto though. Took a while to get there from Tokyo area but well worth it........enjoy !!
  16. The lengths some GT owners will go to for a SWB :sleep1:.
  17. Not yet, later this week i go, might as well coincide a trip up the skytree on Friday, seeing as it's a special day. I've already been up the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, takes your breath away things like this.
  18. That looks fun, it's the 5th anniversary of the skytree this Friday, party on the 350th floor then for me :thumbup1:. http://www.tokyo-skytree.jp/en/
  19. I wonder if it's not in its central position, ie needs one revolution either way and then seat wheel.
  20. The first showing of this was a couple of days ago fyi Simon, i have it on hdd.
  21. I sit uncomfortably with it i'll be honest, no one as stated but it's crowdfunding
  22. Until now, having read up, i've never realized i don't have a single srs crash sensor !! Where are they i am asking myself, i cannot even find a yellow plug or any wiring and i have the front bumper off and both wings, so I must have open circuits galore !! No wonder i cannot get cluster airbag light to turn off. So, until i find a same series breaker for reference and buy it complete, i'll just put this to bed for now and remove the cluster bulb when i put back on the road, it's not the end of the world. EDIT: It seems I do have crash sensors and and a fully working SRS system, please see the updates in and around post 384, thank you.
  23. Mmmmmm................a back door method .
  24. He's paying it then :p.
