  1. Respect  we bleed for our cars!!! Some tyre wall black will also improve the appearance...top work
  2. What terrible news, the report doesn't say it was a 300, perhaps they didn't really know the vehicle type, especially when it was damaged also, very sad indeed.
  3. That is how I remember it, although define reasonable time, a tv 3 years? So 2 years out of warranty I doubt it, but 15 months perhaps you have a chance. ***** RANT ALERT ***** Extendable warranties are a joke and a real con, often you shell out a third of what you paid in the first place and for something under law you already have :cursing: When at the till answer, NO, NO THANK YOU, NO AND NO!!!
  4. 1 bid I notice, and if it's an awful spoiler then Baz must be in the running
  5. Nice one....never thought of doing that, quite innovative
  6. Mine is on minus 15,452, I forgot and went out whilst doing the Ferris Bueller method  So I must be in line for that coveted trophy this year
  7. It is clear to me which is the positive side on my daughters saxo, seeing as she has been having issues with her battery and there is a possibility it could let her down, she a booster on board with her, I have put some red tape on the plus side of her battery to make it obvious, sure there is a lesson there for your friend :hammer:
  8. You are right Dave, looking at mine again the strip is more of a blue than green
  9. You may find that the one they bring is not OEM but a Pilkington copy, do not worry about this at all as they are perfect. Mine just cracked one day and I just paid excess, the same as yours with it being bronze with the green strip :thumbup1:
  10. I had an aftermarket on mine when I got it but I have gone to one of these which is what I should have on a series 4. Don't expect you will have any issues at all, two bolts either side removes the airbag part and then just slide on and tighten up the centre bolt, replace airbag, no boss required. Only the horn to connect up then  which the buttons I illuminated http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=148622
  11. Yes, but with all your lights off, how do you expect anyone to 'flippin' see it See what I did there
  12. If I remember correctly Dave your postcode was there for all to see but now it isn't and what we see now is South Central, which sounds like a train station and gives me no clue whatsoever where you are  You have gone from one extreme to the other
  13. What you need is a nice tartan blanket on your lap Lee  No in all seriousness as Mikey as said, if your thermostat as not been changed for a while you need to stick a new one in and then go from there
  14. 'Poor starting', does that mean it turns over lively enough without firing or it is very weary and barely cranks. If it's the latter you need to check the battery and alternator, what about you having some drain somewhere, this sounds like your problem to me, you need to check the dark current? I am suspecting you changed the battery a few weeks ago and you are still having the same issues, so it sounds like you can rule that out :mad2:
  15. A further update to post 10, a common problem and something I have viewed in many threads/posts is that the alarm will not arm as the engine is running because the turbo timer as cut in and is counting down, so we need to trick the alarm into thinking the engine as been turned off and so we can just zap and this locks the doors and activates the alarm. This is a helpful post on the Oz site http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=265802 You will notice a diode as been used in post 2 and this is what I have done and here is a pic of my turbo timer harness showing where the diode needs to go.....it is mentioned in post 4 that a diode had failed, I have liaised with Groover and he tells me a small diode should be ok as the voltage and amps are low but you can buy a larger one if you so wish. Self explainatory really, cut the black sheath back a bit and sever the yellow (on mine, yours may different a colour) wire and put it inline, the stripe on the diode needs to go nearest the turbo timer connector or nearest the right on the pic, you can just see it. When this harness is connected up, this yellow wire goes to the black with white stripe on the car ignition loom connectors. The blue wire to the right is the one I talk about in post 13 and this connects and livens up the radio and lights. The blue wire and the white wire are left like this unused. Hope that helps
  16. Happy birthday Alex - Enjoy your day
  17. Don't like those lenses at all, I think you should stick with something like I said yesterday certainly initially to see how it looks, definitely keep the lit up 300zx then just play with the shape of the 4 reverse lenses and fill them evenly, either with more tail lights, reverse or fog :thumbup1:
  18. Green on the panel as you will know is the OEM colour and I have the green theme goin on down the centre at the back and then it fans out around the zorsts  It was all red but I wanted a change  Might do it all in blue but this is the emergency colour and could be risky
  19. No EL's were used or harmed in the making of this mod
  20. Following on from this thread the other day started by Jaikai, I thought I would do something about it:thumbup1: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=157619 I do have 2 of the Nissan Altia reverse light panels here to do and it was always a plan of mine to put one, in the OEM green, on my car, but I am now going to stick with what I have done as I quite like, here are some pics - enjoy..... Firstly, this is what lights up when I put the lights on Lights still on along with my led Zedwizz reverse lights, fully recommended by the way. Next with the fogs on as well, these don't appear red but I assure you they are. You can just see that I have green bulbs in the number plate globes and then there is the green illuminated 'SLICKTOP' number plate light that TwinTurboRich bespoke made for me. Right, now this is the magic bit....all still on don't forget so I now.......... touch my brakes and the 300ZX logo turns to a bright legal red brake light, the subtle green is actually still on but is swamped with the amount of red led's. I also have some green smd strips which illuminate my zorsts....better at night these!! A close up of the reverse panel, now all led blinged up!! All lights off and the brake pedal depressed, the 300ZX illumination is plenty bright enough to go with the 4 x 21w stock brake lights And a bit darker with lights back on, this was taken when the panel was not fully fit so there is some light bleed on this one. You can see on this one a bit of a green glow on the floor from the exhaust lights. I think this modification is very unique as I have never seen it done before, not only in the UK but worldwide. How as he done it you may ask...well really it is quite simple but I will leave you all to ponder for a while, hope you enjoyed, Andy :cool3:
  21. Is there anybody out there then who is going to kindly pm me and offer me one
  22. Well yours is newer than mine :tongue_smilie:
  23. Rear window logo in silver, but really I need to just offer it in and then stand back and look at it from every angle :confused1:
  24. I have seen 'push' done in the white on a few pics and mine must of faded away, so I went into the garage and just painted on some white gloss, then wiped it off and eh presto the 'push' is now all white again :cool3: Never realised until now but my insert is missing  so I want one as well!!!!
  25. A pile of parts we do not want to see
