  1. I am surprised I must say that in 9 replies nobody as put a link up for these :cursing: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-300ZX-90-96-DIRECT-FIT-LAMBO-DOOR-KIT-/150646578094?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item23133c5bae#ht_1904wt_932 If you want up/down adjustment then there is nothing to beat these boys :tt2:
  2. C'mon you know the rules!!!
  3. Quite simple to wire these into the brake lights instead of the number plate light pick up point but don't forget it will be off then on a lot more and will surely not be good for the inverter and/or the sheet. My other point Lee is, it will just not look bright enough, it is ideally suited to have on with the lights as it is more of a subtle illumination. This is why a thin EL sheet is used, I have tried to light up with the smd strips and they are just too fat as the panels do not squeeze together as they should and just compress these strips
  4. I am disappointed picture putterupperer, I log on in an evening and there is no update on this thread, very unhappy and I am sure I speak for many others :gun_bandana:
  5. Hahaha funniest thing I've read today, ROFL, PMSL, You keep taking your medication :tt2:
  6. He will be heartened to read this thread as he will be a little down tonight with the Cardiff loss
  7. A bit late now but why didn't you use a pod with a cruise control switch?
  8. Right a quick update to post 10 of mine and this is worth reading as I have done a clever little mod :cool3: I have found out or realised what the blue wire I mention in that post does, the one with the inline bullet connector  When it is connected it keeps the accessories on (acc), ie radio, EBC and whatever else when the timer is counting down, unplugged and these do not stay on when the timer is running down, just the engine then. So this got my tiny brain thinking, 'what could I have come on and stay on with the engine when the timer is activated once the keys are removed' So for complete pose factor, very unlike me I know :winkiss: I have linked this blue wire into my front fog switch and also my stereo ignition live, I have had to use some diodes as at one point when I manually put the lights on, the stereo would come on Of course now when I walk away from the car the engine is running, music is still playing, fog/side lights are on and absolutely everything else that I have linked to the light circuit, this is a lot by the way  After the set 20 secs or so, everything shuts down. If I so wish I can turn the timer off and of course nothing stays running. My mercs lights come on when I exit for a set period, so I have only done a similar thing, I could of had the dipped beams come on if I so wished but with HID lights fitted it is not recommended so I stuck with pick up at the front fogs. Quite happy with my work today
  9. Then I state again that someone as laughed so much at it they have quite obviously p1ssed themselves :gun_bandana:
  10. I would rather have these replicas than the ones in the poll and they are not much more wonga  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/90-96-Nissan-300zx-JDM-Tail-Lights-/120839027295?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c22913a5f#ht_500wt_949 Then send me your reverse light panel and I will illuminate it in red, blue or green :cool3: FYI, I am in the middle of making some 99 spec replicas myself
  11. I am camping this year, maybe this could sway you into sharing my two 'person' tent, if not it will have to be Mikey or Daz  Joking aside I stayed in 2010 at the Hampton by Hilton in Corby, 15 mins away, recommended highly, if you book early you may get a very good deal, it includes all you can eat cooked breakfast for about £45.00 a night :cool3:
  12. Not a problem, all part of the masterplan
  13. After reading much I have now fit my GReddy Auto Turbo Timer. I have Red to White/Red - this is 12v permanent. Yellow to Black/White Blue to Blue/White Some notes on the pic below, the black shiny sheathed wires that head off the pic at the bottom, you may notice one of the 3 wires within this is cream, you cannot see it but it is in with the thick cream one furthest right into the connector block on the pic, this just heads off and goes to a blank bullet. So then I have a blue wire that travels outside of this shiny sheath, you can see just on the pic that it does come apart as there is an inline sheathed connector, then there is red and yellow and these three go into what is called the power harness (FYI on mine the yellow wire connects at the multi plug and becomes a green wire) these 3 ultimately go into the turbo timer head unit. The pic in the previous thread, yes those pins need to go into a turbo timer harness or you can just splice straight in, of course the black wire needs a good grounding point. You have red, green and white I notice, along with the black, so based on my colours of my wires, an educated guess would be, red connects to red, green connects to yellow and the white connects to blue. Hope you understand all that!!! My harness was not plug and play for some reason, I had to take out all the locking spades/pins and swop them over, making the correct male/female connector on each end to fit, that's why you see a cable tie on both, don't want it coming apart :glare: I am yet to connect the speed sensor wire into the ECU one, I believe this to be A9 on the diagram, so if someone could shed some light on that and the work involved I would be grateful, thank you. Now finally on to what happens, I set the timer at 30 secs say, take keys out, get out, close door, I then zap it and it central locks (usually here it beeps as well and arms the alarm), finally engine stops and the separate immobiliser activates immediately as normal, the car is still locked which is fine, at this point I have to zap again and it beeps at me and the alarm arms, doors are still locked, I then go inside forget about it. However, the alarm will not arm until the engine as stopped running, so in theory I will have to loiter, defeats the object really  is this down to a wire that needs connecting to the alarm system, perhaps the blank bullet from the turbo timer harness? Or the inline bullet on the blue wire, might have to go somewhere and then come back? ****UPDATE***********SEE MY POST 13 BELOW********* Of course I want it to arm and lock when running/counting down, it takes 15 secs or so for the alarm to fully set anyway once it as beeped at me? ******UPDATE*****THIS AS BEEN SORTED SEE POST 14 WHICH EXPLAINS HOW********* Any help greatly appreciated and hope my pic and description helps into the future. EDIT: After a quick look on the internet it seems this might solve my problem and is a great addition to this post http://zhome.com/ZCMnL/PICS/turboTimer/turboTimer.html
  14. Please don't give her ideas on re locating the steering wheel....quick edit your post
  15. I think a lot of people will just be pulling the bulbs out, warning lights will struggle to light up without one
  16. There is nothing strange about a series 4!! Probably nothing wrong with your clocks and best left alone, S4 are much harder to come by than S1 AND S2  Not sure what you mean with crappy sticker? I have no boost gauge on my S4, I have an aftermarket one on the A pillar and works a treat and shows well over 14psi so good for future mods. Mileage barrel can just be teased out with care and adjusted to the correct mileage that appears on all your service records, mot's, etc. Or, you could try the Ferris Bueller method
  17. Eck a car and a good buff...no wonder she's gleaming, you are spoiling her :thumbup1:
  18. I have no memory at all of the 300 from when I was younger, the car as passed me by which actually I do like it that way. I did look at buying a Supra, the 2.8i as I had the brochure and loved the electronic dash, I did go to buy one about 10 years ago but I didn't feel it and walked away so put that to bed. Also, the later 3.0 which was stored brand new in our mill (never liked the shape of these), along with corollas, mr2's, etc.....all new and I was about 17!!!!!!! Imagine!! I saw Top Gear Hammond with the red one in the ice about 2 1/2 years ago and thought I like that, a little different, did some research as I knew zilch about them and liaised with a forum member and went down to Newport and got the SWB, first one I had viewed, paid more than I originally set out to do, but I am very happy with my purchase, could not of chose better with Zero regrets :cool3:
  19. No need for the switch eh..........got ya, you are converting it into a vert :detective:
