Dodgy tail lights
I had an issue with one of mine, it was the soldered bit actually inside the bulb holder if my memory serves, one minute working the next off, oh how I kept wiggling!!!! Find someone who is breaking :whistling: and get a fresh bulb holder spliced in or just get the complete loom. As if by magic your problem will disappear :cool3:

Done Some work today, thought i'd share a few pics.
95% of the panels are transluscent, it seems to be the later ones that are not and these need the 300ZX scraping off for this outline to then show through once backlit. To black out the required areas and anything you have scuffed, I use Black acrylic artist paint, about 3 coats and painted on with a small brush. Did you not look in the How-To section? Or, did you make it up as you went along

Help with value
Does it have a solid roof as opposed to a targa top? Auto or Manual? What year? Import? Certainly the SWB variants are desirable and it will be great if it can be brought back into service. Impossible for us to value without more info and some pics would excite us all on here very much, so help us out a bit here :detective:

turbo upgrade advice
Certainly a lot more than £600.00, these Godspeed could be crap I just don't know but I would rather have a go with these than 2nd hand ones, usually in life you get what you pay for but this cannot be true all the time :cool3:

turbo upgrade advice
I have some of those, come up here and fit them and all my other upgrades, then we go out and test them all to see if you like, an offer you cannot refuse :winkiss:

The rear number plate does not have to be illuminated with clear/white bulbs, as long as its lit and visible from whatever metres then you are fine, stay clear of blue would be my message as the police may frown on the use of this colour :cool3:

On the face of it a nice Slicktop but....

Yes clean your globes and fit these bulbs for red illumination :cool3: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2X-T10-194-168-W5W-5-SMD-5050-LED-Car-Wedge-Side-Tail-Light-Lamp-Bulb-Red-12V-/270865520536?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f10d7d798#ht_4517wt_932

On the face of it a nice Slicktop but....
I can only presume Ifty that there was an Ebay advert and some points/faults you did or didn't put in there is being picked up upon. A car or any item on ebay is open to inspection all the time bidding is taking place, not having seen the car £2000 does not seem expensive, and even having won the auction or a buy it now whatever it was, on collection/test drive/inspection if it is not as described then the buyer is within his/her rights to not hand over the wad. In this case your buyer still did. There are then channels on ebay to go through to cancel the transaction which enables the seller to retrieve the selling fees :thumbup1:

Thanks Ian. And Dan, have a blooming good look at it, drive it thoroughly on all kinds of roads and get there before it goes dark, best of luck

On the face of it a nice Slicktop but....
Just to let you know what I am thinking, I may have a look at it on Sunday if I can for you, (don't hold me to it though as it's dependent on a few things) if you don't mind and then report back, tell the seller by all means that someone more local will have a look as it is a long way for you. I would worry about the price, or scrimp on a few hundred quid as the spec is to die for and these come up rarely. I will post my number for a few mins and then edit out, take it down and call me if you wish, , Andy.

On the face of it a nice Slicktop but....

Wiring in a top brake light in a UK
They're quite a large 501 or T10 clear filament bulb that is 21w. But as I have a broken panel here I have tested the following bulbs in it and there is no difference but you do need red, and yes this is the same bulb I recommend for everything!! The bulb holders are just that bit bigger than the dash clock bulbs and I am sure with a bit of modding on the contacts I am sure you can get all four to work if you have some lying about :cool3: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-2-x-5-SMD-T10-501-W5W-5050-Car-Side-Wedge-12V-LED-Light-Bulbs-Red-/260895083660?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3cbe8f0c8c#ht_3689wt_902

On the face of it a nice Slicktop but....
The point I was making was that it is advertised as having cruise control :cool3: I don't have cruise in mine but I do have the switch to make it look like I do, better than a blank :sneaky2:

On the face of it a nice Slicktop but....
As per the title, the spec is perfect, leather, manual, etc but the sellers feedback is a big big worry for a prospective buyer, littered with unhappy folk. That said if this is straight enough, would be a good buy for just over 2 big ones. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-300ZX-SWB-SLICKTOP-TWIN-TURBO-MANUAL-NISMO-WHEELS-SUPRA-SKYLINE-200SX-/250943983445?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3a6d6d4f55#ht_754wt_932
