Handy piece of kit
I have one of these, wife bought it for me and I don't expect she paid a lot either...very ergonomic - I don't use it as much as I should. My 1/4 drive ratchet is a FACOM which I use everyday more or less.

My neighbour with the sneaky nice wheels !!
This is a car forum and we love cars and I thought you'd all like to see, sure if there was a supercar that drove past your house you'd all sit up and take notice just like you would if a 25 year old blonde walked her dog past your residence on a very hot sticky summer day........now where's the footage I have of that :tongue_smilie:.

Anyone been to Rome?
They didn't think of your needs Ian when they built the Coliseum - my golly there are some steep flights of stairs.

Anyone been to Rome?
Agreed this is what we did, coliseum and then meet later in the day for a trip across the road at the forum and we got a totally crazy guide from Liverpool, she was good though although I couldn't tell what she was saying - would of understood an Italian better !!!

My neighbour with the sneaky nice wheels !!
Well having moved to our new house over 2 years ago I have seen this neighbour repeat this process many times. At random perhaps once a week he lifts his garage and then always drives past my house then roughly 20 mins later he comes back and puts it away !! BTW the mini is I think his wifes and the BMW is his. I must really have a chat with him . [video=youtube_share;tdFyMeb4bME] http://youtu.be/tdFyMeb4bME

Anyone been to Rome?
At the airport you can get the Leanardo Express train to Termini Station(center of Rome) and it's about 15 euro each, payable right there and goes every 30 mins, think it takes about an hour, we were asked for our tickets going but not coming back !! The shops are like the ones down Oxford Street, Guess, H&M, etc and then of course Prada, Gucci, etc and most are on via del corso which is a street name. We ate fast food mainly but I would recommend having a pizza in a little restaurant - there about 8 euros. McCafe is good for a cappacino and snack - a bit like Starbucks only much cheaper. We got a 7 day pass for the underground as there wasn't a 5 day one but I think there is a 3 day one. As said the Vatican is just a bit far to walk to but is only a few stops at Ottavia station on the underground, inside St Peters will take your breath away. We stopped here which was not expensive and that's because it was not central but 15 mins walk to the Coliseum and roughly the same to Termini Station I don't call too bad and it's just to rest your head anyway as you'll be out all day. Some reviews say it's not safe but we never felt that one bit, just got to have your wits about you and not be a sucker or a mug !! http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g187791-d231286-Reviews-Hotel_Donatello-Rome_Lazio.html

Anyone been to Rome?
I went in July. You can in fact walk from tourist attraction to tourist attraction as you get to see things on the way. We bought a 7 day tube pass so hopped on and off at will but you'll need a tube map but it's very straight forward with only 2 x lines, we didn't bother with a car and I wouldn't if I went again. Book online for St Peters Basilica/Sistine Chapel/Vatican City - all the same thing, either before you go or get your hotel to do it and print off your entrance pass, this way you skip the line, but these may not be obscene this time of year. Your hotel should supply you with a tourist map showing all the places to visit and for shopping well you'll just come across it on your travels, not far from the Trevi Fountain in the main. Be very very very aware of pick pockets especially around the Termini Station and be wary all the time of people trying to scam you or on the face of it trying to help you, they offer to take your pic at the Trevi for instance with your camera and then take a pic with their camera and charge you 5 euros for it !! Enjoy though it's a beautiful romantic city.

lights .?
I already have one of these brake flasher modules on order, am going to fit it in my 3rd brake light as I have already replaced the filament bulbs in there with red T10 smd ones, so I'm hoping it'll flash and work very well. Anything that can help alert the driver behind that is too busy texting to the fact you're braking is all the better in my book .

Finally its here!

Annoyance at my headlights.
Sounds like a right botch !!! You will find it very difficult to work in this area with the lights in situ, you need them on the bench really. The spring clip at the left hand side on this pic is stopped from falling out because that screw is there, there is a screw at each side and the alignment adjusters need moving to gain access to these one at a time.

Did all that yesterday, I put some wax on today though in the light drizzle and then had to make room in the garage so I could buff it down. Car is back on the drive now in the drizzle again but at least I've done it, see you at around 8.15 am :cool3:.

Toad Alarm System
I know with my set up (autowatch alarm with GReddy FATT) it wouldn't allow me to zap and lock the doors/alarm the car whilst the timer was counting down but with some jiggery pokery with the ignition wires and some big juicy diodes in line, I now can just walk away and leave it counting down knowing that when it's finished it's alarm/locked and I'm already in the house making a cuppa :cool3:.

No difficulty today 'folding' up the pop up jobbie to get it in the wheelie bin :cool3:. Thanks Gaz for the heads up, I did look on their sites but decided on a one man Karrimor one with a high dry factor or whatever, as I might need it to turn some rain over this weekend .
