Well, I couldn't resist this from Baz's performance parts for sale thread and would of kicked myself if I'd of missed out, gone now is my single K&N cone and this bit of kit fitted in it's place, took me about 20 mins all in, plug and play. Thanks Baz for great service as usual bud :thumbup1:.

Stop being tempted to put bigger and bigger fuses in !! It does sound like your sidelight circuit could be the problem hence the reason main beam comes on, it's easy to overlook a fuse especially in the footwell as access is poor, the middle 10amp on the top row, check it and check it again buddy !!

I think you half jest but not sure the depth is there for a smd strip bud, it'll be sitting so near if not touching that the light will not light up the 300ZX at all, you'll just see each spot of light, this is why strips cannot be used for lighting up the reverse light panel. My altia's are not bright at all, only in total darkness can they really be seen - I'm not into bright lights like you, I like more subtle :tongue_smilie: .

I wouldn't go back into them and fit one either side as the difference will be unnoticeable and you'll be disappointed but if you were doing the job from scratch I would say use two, especially when they're only a few pounds each.

You can fit two invertors if you like of course, this may keep them as bright as possible, some bench observation is in order here. If you run in a straight line with some sand paper not sure which grade atm, it'll scratch them up a bit, may work well, may not !!

That is a great find, mine are scuffed but not as bad as that, I intend having a go at improving mine over the winter and expect wet and dry is the way to go initially, if I dont improve them to my satisfaction I may give them a brushed finish, we'll see. You need EL sheet under both and these can both be run from one invertor and yes pick up at your door switch or the relay itself :cool3:.

I agree....mine had some similar mods done in the early days and I had a dyno sheet of 340 BHP given to me in the service history :cool3:.

They of course wouldn't be yellow, more of a 3000k warm white :cool3:.
