  1. The first link MM as put up do look like they could be the ones, whether they do what they say on the tin is another matter, they come in red also. I liaised with another member and it was decided to buy some of these, so until they arrive on his doorstep we will not know further.
  2. You're thinking of putting HID's in behind a plastic indicator housing :w00t:. My dual purpose bulb holder lugs are so simple you just remove one completely and trim another down with a dremel. My other chamber in the housing is a T10 bulb/holder and this comes on as a kerb light when I indicate that corner but the dips need to be on for this to activate or liven up.
  3. Correct, white side lights work as normal, flip to indicate and they alternate white then yellow and then of course revert back to side light. 3 wires to the bulb holder which is in fact a stock stop/tail one with very slightly modified lugs, one earth, one side light feed and the other indicate wire, simples .
  4. Happy Birthday Si......you did receive that part ?
  5. No pics but you'll find the pedals always in the drivers footwell, HTH .
  6. Happy 50th bud .
  7. That's not the case at all, I had ecu talk on it a while ago and it was fine, cannot remember exactly but somewhere around what it's reading now with the resistor on. I also had a split hose a while ago and this water loss caused overheating and even the stock gauge needle moved up, so I do know the signs it gives me when it gets too warm, ie close to 100c. The Stack sender wire is not meant to just be plonked and piggy back on the water pipe sender so it was no wonder it was reading high........no I am quite happy with this in line resistor to retard back the reading.
  8. I did and put it in the top of my aftermarket rad and the reading went off the scale, so clearly it was the wrong sender !!! My way is tidy and 77c cannot be far off, once the needle moves away from this point I know I have a problem, doesn't really matter whether really is starts off when hot at 65 or 80.
  9. I do...both now working in conjunction :cool3:.
  10. You be careful now when those Turbos kick in .
  11. There's one here on ebay but they're more expensive than the one I got to trial fit, there are a few more on the market though but all quite similar. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161109653024?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648
  12. I have Stack A pillar water temp gauge which the previous owner fit and it used the sender on the water pipe, the same one as the stock clocks gauge takes it feed from. The clocks needle sits just a smidging above halfway - perfect I am happy with that. But on the Stack gauge it was up at 205f when fully warm which is 96 celsius - clearly incorrect and I do know down to calibration !!! Not to mention too far along in it's range as I like the needle to sit somewhere in the middle of it's travel. So I experimented and found by fitting a resistor in line it dropped the gauge to 170f which equates to 77c, I don't have a conzult to test but my guess is this isn't too far away from the actual and the needle being in the middle of the range I can monitor better . You will notice I had to be careful with the fan and I spaded up a resistor to show, this as now been soldered in properly and tidied up. [video=youtube_share;6b7oyNe96BU]
  13. I bought a cheap £1.70 module from the far east and I've fit it inline, only takes 30 mins all in to do, just wanted to show you all, not sure if I'll keep or not but with it being only a slit of a light I don't think it's too in your face. I do know you can buy the ones that go solid after a few seconds but this one just keeps flashing and flashing and flashing. FYI....I replaced the 4 x clear stock filament bulbs that are in there with red 5 smd T10 ones a while back :cool3:. [video=youtube_share;mKZOCwVhsaw]
  14. You will pay more from a UK seller but will not have the wait, I have purchased these to complete a set but I am in no rush so don't mind the 3 weeks they will take to get here, you will notice there is quite a considerable price difference. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400482817123?var=670090925866&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 In fact if anyone else is reading this, if you then buy separate ballasts, you can get a hid kit for approx £16.00, so 2 of these is required http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261302168904?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  15. Not being funny but you need to go to specsavers as you shouldn't be having a problem with those . You need to be checking the alignment against a garage door or similar.
  16. If you have fitted in your dips the HID H3 55W then you really shouldn't be having a problem seeing at night. What colour have you bought.........12,000k !!!!!!
  17. Yes I have plenty of sheets and in any colour and as Graham said they can be trimmed away from the foil tracks, usually along the bottom thus reducing the width and then trim to length, I'll be able to sort you 100%. I think you did get a sheet off me for your reverse light panel .
  18. I have these switchback bulbs in my indicator units and I love everything about them, you might not even know you can get such a thing !! And why are you tying yourself to T10's and are they for for the front corner indicator chambers ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1157-Dual-Color-LED-Switchback-Turn-Signal-Lights-2357-White-Amber-Yellow-/280956185915?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item416a4b2d3b
  19. This isn't genuine, you only have to read Paul's spec list to confirm this. Back lights are missing - that's cos I got them before it went under auction !!!
  20. It's just the camera that does this, if you look at the genuine one in the background and we all know that these are red, you will see it is also looking 'orange'. When I was working on this I realized it was going to turn out well, it wasn't until I got the genuine one out to compare did I notice that the redness was the same but mine was brighter looking - of course this is with the EL sheet off. I haven't seen anybody do this before so the one you see is totally unique. There is no reason why instead of red the outline can be done in any other colour if you so wished to maybe match your body colour, then have it light up another colour instead of the red. I need to experiment a little further as I just sat down and did this first one, I also need to speed up the process as it took a while :cool3:.
