I didn't know these existed until I spotted Andy Stokes selling one from out of one his breakers on ebay about 2 weeks ago, I just had to have it for £20.00. Of course it will never work as my ICE as long since changed but it's doing no arm. I have already found the wires from the mini din 8 pin plug to light up the buttons and the lcd screen, lights up green so don't know if I'll open it up and change the illumination to red or blue and I'll be wiring it into the sidelight circuit when I fully fit after xmas as it's going under the tree for now. As anyone else got one ??

Haha MM, I had to read that a few times....tables !!!! You mean tablets !!!!!! By all means pop back in but I'd get some new silica gel sachets and use these instead or as well, not sure on the potency of the old tablets after all these years :thumbup:.

I've called it 'spot the difference', but really there isn't any, the chroming of the inserts as made these the same. The light on the back one is just the camera lying as that part is identical and that is yours BTW, glad you like :biggrin:.

I am able to make any reverse light panel (RLP) look like a 99 spec one, in fact mine even light up but as ever I have moved on. The red 300ZX looks a strong red in real life, both when switched on and when not, the vid doesn't show it up as well as I would of liked :no:. No they're soft and bendy hence why mine is forced in and curls around the end, boldy's is the same just a different shape with a lip that helps greatly in fitting :cool3: .

Great tip and what I did on mine, smother with grease as well. I also make use of the hands of the wife, big man fingers are a no no :surrender:.

No, I believe these are long discontinued. I ended up making my own as there was nothing out there or they were incredibly pricey - Japanese sites is your only hope but I got no joy if I remember correctly.

The amber OEM lenses have all got a built in square area that is different, however on some there is an extra clear square on the inside, this can be cut off and re used. The next set I do will have the square on as it is needed to 'hide' the bulb, I have noticed on the bench I can either use the cut off one I mention above or just double up with a square piece of my new bottom clear lens as both work just as good as each other.

The little square does as you would expect diffuse very well, you can see where the amber bulb is though even on the genuine units, you can imagine on my copies the bulb position is more obvious but is perfectly fine and does light up the full indicator chamber the same as the OEM :thumbup1:. I did try some of those chrome capped 21w amber bulbs thinking they might diffuse better but found these just the same as the standard amber coloured ones.

Even though it's a light and on the side, don't call it a side light !!!! Rear marker is better and it's not a fuse as these are most likely or should be picking up power from your sidelight circuit, one out will be loose/bad connection either wiring or the actual bulb holder itself.

Indicator bulbs are 382 and stop/tails are 380 fitment :wink:.

I had something very similar, I was blazing to say the least as I could see where it was heading, just ring them and tell them what's happened but be angry but not overly so. They will I expect just give you the money as they did this with me, but it doesn't disguise the fact that the buyer as the item and a refund as well, just live with it as you wont actually be out of pocket :thumbdown:.

Looked at mine again and again and they're very true, oh and thanks the wife spotted them after having put them away, 'what's those' she says - I tells her. How much ? I tells her. New they are £190 I added thinking she'd be happy with hubby getting a 2nd hand bargain. Don't quite follow........everyone is thinking 'what's that' ? Well just behind the outer lined lenses there is an insert and this on the genuine ones is completely in chrome, so I had a go at it myself on the set you see, couple this with a clear diffuser I used that matches the red one I would say I make the best copies out there :tt2:.
