  1. Is it possible to split the door trims into pieces? i.e can you remove the centre panel that is covered in tweed or alcantara from the plastic top and bottom sections?

Im working until 4pm but would be up for it after that! Will have to sticky tape the clocks in though and put a seat in it to make it roadworthy!
  3. Traffic cops r usually parked up at the airport roundabout, monkton roundabout and on shawfarm road. Not seen any cameras down that way except between Irvine and kilmarnock where it is a 50 limit on the dual carriageway. Lots of plane spotters down near the airport at times so they may have mistaken you for a ryanair!!!!
  4. Paid a visit to Transcal today in Livingstone and will be using them to retrim my interior since the last trim shop has let me down, big time. I was very impressed with their premises and the cutomers that they have which include many big airlines and Jaguar and Land Rover. The workshop is superb and i am confident that they will deliver exactly what i want, once i have decided! I am considering getting something very similar to this, http://www.tc-concepts.de/categories/showroom.php?bid=11&cid=83 I like the style of stitching on the door panels and am considering using a blue stitch to match my front (Cobra Misano) and rear seats. At this point i will not be looking to add the diamond design onto my seats but don't know if it will look strange just having it on the door panels? What do you guys think?
  5. Yip, Phil is the man to take your Zed to down that way. Did a cracking job with mine and my previous one. Top bloke also! You have to be called Barry though.........:whistling: Barry

Yes mate, it was the strosek one I had stripped down and got resprayed. Check out my rides page and you will see the difference from before! Time has been the biggest issue but hoping to get it all finished very soon.

I was begining to think you had given up on your project, nearly there is it ???? Was in the Garage in Motherwell for ages while I sent the clutch off to Rps in the states for them to fix. Just got it Mot'd last week but been super busy at work so it only has the 2 front seats in at present and the dashboard is the only other thing to be removed before I can set about rebuilding it all. Got some pieces to pick up from the trim shop and various other interior bits still to be returned from a carbon fibre guy. Longest project ever!!!

Up for this as just got my Z back. Will need to create more time in the day to put the interior back together though!
  9. Lol! :surrender: I promise to be quiet!
  10. Mods, I am having difficulties trying to use the Search function and am unable to reply to threads. Can you have a look into this for me please? Cheers
  11. Cheers m8! Bolts on back order so no hurry!
  12. Had a cracking day! cheers for the comments. One set of flywhel bolts and the Z will be back on the road next week. Best present I could get!!!!
  13. All the aerosexuals are coming out of the closet now.......!!!!!!! Some really good photos there and they look so much different to how i see them on radar every day!!!

Hi Jaikai, I have just realised you work pretty much next door to me!!!! Your Z looks very nice. I am over in NATS just across the road. Will look forward to getting a meet organised once i get my Z back from the garage in the near future! Cheers Barry
  16. Yes mate, i remember the car well. What would you like to know?
  17. I have a glovebox that has been custom cut to house 3 gauges. Will try to find pictures on here but i will be selling it.
  18. Correct. The panels are metal as opposed to fibreglass.
  19. To be honest the situaton is constantly changing and depends a huge amount on the winds etc. It is a very strange feel at work just now as we are preparing to get very busy but nothing yet!
  20. I dont understand the differences either, but it is the reason i am not on the dyno board on the forum.
  21. Im assuming i am "Bass" on your list! I will get mine on a dyno up here in Scotland which is not a hub one to see what it comes out as. The mapping will be getting checked while it is in the garage over the next couple of weeks. I have to agree with Bobgenie that reliability is key as that is what i had in mind with the build as well as driveability.
  22. Would loved to have come to this! In New Zealand though at present!
  23. Just made the trip to the bodyshop to discover it was all locked up! My painter had to go in to hospital last night and is only just back now and off to bed. I will have to wait until Thursday now to get it back and wont have any time to work on it for 5 weeks as im off on Honeymoon! The Stillen bumper is staying on and i have thought about a smooth nose panel. Might just get one painted up to see what it will look like. All my interior panels and dashboard should be ready when i get back home so that will be the next job as well as sourcing some stereo stuff.
