  1. If the knock sensor itself looks ok i wouldnt bother as it is usually the wiring harness that causes the problems. I just replaced the wiring on mine as the sensor itself looked fine.
  2. Cheers Paul, good idea. I would think they should keep a record of what length should be fitted to the TT 2+2. Strange how Coz doesnt seem to know though?
  3. I understand that i should use a bolt on hubcentric system and have been looking at options. I need 30mm spacers for the rear. http://www.wheels.uk.com/acatalog/wheel-spacers-nissan-300zx-system-3.html I read an old post about eibach hubcentric spacers but cant find them anywhere? Any other spacers worth considering?
  4. Yes mate, it is conceptzperformance. He would like to know the exact length of driveshaft i require and then he would order it from Inland empire. However i could do with this quickly and the last time it took ages to get one ordered. So i am considering the 50" one in stock as i dont think it will make much difference for the sake of 1 " as the 46" one i have got still engages in the gearbox end by about 2". What do you think?
  5. I have contacted Coz and he has a 50" driveshaft in stock, would this be ok as it is only 1" shorter than the 51" quoted for the TT Manual?
  6. Cheers guys! When i get it back it has to go to the bodyshop for a proper polish before any of the exterior trim is put on. Plenty of photos then!
  7. Just got a message left by Phil and the engine is now running! He has managed to piece together an exhaust to get it going from some bits i left with him!!! Top Bloke! He is now doing the final bits such as headlights and front bumper etc to get it to MOT standard. I still have to sort out the Driveshaft issue and a couple of other bits but it will soon be on the road. Looks like i have an Inland empire TT automatic driveshaft for sale! Then i will have to get the AEM on to it and have it mapped.
  8. Ordered it back in November from Concept Z with a lot of other parts so shipping was not an issue. If i recall it was about $400 as i did not have an original core to return.
  9. Looks like they have sent the one for the Auto instead of the Manual one then based on those measurements!
  10. As above how long is this? The Inland empire driveshaft i have has the following dimensions, Tubular barrell length 38" Yoke entering gearbox 6" visible with about another 2" inside gearbox. I think this is for a SWB and need to order a new one!
  11. Will pass on your regards m8. He is awesome, and a pleasure to deal with.
  12. Only just had the car resprayed! I can assure you it isnt fibreglass, its the original Strosek bumper which is pretty sturdy!
  13. I thought it looked quite big! 4.5" wont fit through the bumper unfortunately. Cheers anyway.
  14. I had a look at them, can you also check what diameter the actual tailpipe is as well? It wont fit if over 3.5".
  15. Yes mate, its ready for the oil and water to go into it and get it started! Driveshaft is going to cause a problem now though! I also need to sort out a 2.5" pipe diameter, set of tailpipes to get it running and a few other bits and bobs!
  16. Cheers Legrath, looks like i have been sent the wrong one then. Will get it measured on Monday and try to get another one.
  17. With the prop, does it look like it is too short, perhaps for a 2 seater? Do you have a spacer on at the diff end to lengthen it at all?
  18. Drove down today to drop off some more bits! I hadn't seen the car in the flesh for about 2 months and i have to say Phil has done an absolutely outstanding job with this!!! It looks like a car again and Phil has put in many hours of work!! Some more updated photo's and a couple of questions. 1. The 1 piece prop where it goes into the gearbox (2nd Picture) Does this look normal as we think it could go in further? It is an Inland Empire one if anyone else is using this as well. Just need to know if this looks normal? 2. Wiring for the neutral and reverse switches. Which of the plugs do you use to wire in a neutral switch? There are 3, which i tried to photo, we think it is the one in the single photo but would like clarification and exactly which pins it wires into. He has run wiring from the neutral switch to the engine bay.
  19. Latest photo from Phil today. Engine is in car and being plumbed in!
  20. :headvswal Why didnt i buy 19" wheels!!!!! Honestly, they look great on the car and a pleasure doing business with you Pete!
  21. Cheers Guys, it has been a long process to get it to this. Phil is a legend and i have learned a fair bit about various engine bits from having to strip them off my spare engine and then send them to Phil!
  22. Excellent! Just wanted to double check prior to the engine being put in as i dont want it to come out again!!!!
  23. I raised this before but now have a photo of the extra plug that has no connector when Phil replaced the loom. Does anyone know if it is needed or what it is for? The car was a 91 UK Auto and is now Manual. The loom is new style with new style injector connectors and CAS plug.
