  1. This is just the press doing the usual thing and trying to scare everyone! I have had lots of experience dealing with aircraft emergencies and would still say it is by far the safest way to travel and at the end of the day this is another case of an unusual occurence happening and a plane still landing safely with no loss of life.
  2. Glad to see you managed to get it fitted! Looks superb mate.
  3. Cheers guys, I will give you a call later Dan!
  4. I have a stillen GTZ-R bumper going onto my UK spec Z. I am replacing the lights that are mounted on the stillen bumper as they are cracked and was going to get rid of the front fog lights and replace with carbon fibre ducts. I have done a quick search and have been confused as to whether front fogs are required for an mot? Also, will need to replace the sidelight/indicator cluster, looking for a crystal clear cluster, what ones do you suggest? Ebay? Any others?
  5. I have 2 sets of wheels at ACE at the moment. Should be collecting them on Friday. They have been there a while but i was in no hurry. It is only 1 guy who owns the place at present will post up the results when/if i get them on Friday!!
  6. Where the seal meets the plastic moulding in the bottom corner of the window has been tampered with or melted on my Z. Is it possible to replace this seal and is it an easy job. Would it be a nissan only part?
  7. I will stick with the Racelogic setup then for the TC. It has launch control on it already! Cheers for the advice, will remove the Ignition Module from my shopping list!
  8. Cheers Kirbz, was thinking ditch the AFM. Running GT675RS tubs, dont know what sort of final power i will get. I take it that it wont be enough to warrant the ignition module?
  9. I have got an AEM that will eventually be fitted to my Z. It is the one without the built in UEGO. I am just about to place an order for some parts and was wondering if these AEM parts are worthwhile getting? AEM Air intake Temp sensor with wire harness AEM 3.5 bar MAP or 50 PSIA Sensor Kit AEM Dual Channel UEGO Kit AEM Capacitive Digital Ignition MODULE - 4 or 8 Channel? I will be running 740CC injectors and a Doolz intake with JWT Pop Chargers. Also i have been told that the AEM has built in programmable traction control. I already have a racelogic system which was removed from my old Z and wondered what would be best to do, run the AEM traction control or the racelogic setup?
  10. A lot of the fins are simply broken off, the core is fine. If they are just to guide the air then it really shouldnt have that much effect as you say.
  11. I have had these for about 5 years and when i removed them from my old car they are starting to look there age. A number of the fins on the front of them have crumbled away, will this affect there performance and is there anyway to recondition them? I will take some pictures later and post them up.
  12. Cheers guys. I was going to buy the piece that runs along the top of the screen aswell but if that is a screen out job dont think i will bother!
  13. I recently purchased the above and my car is at the bodyshop. Just want to know if this can be fitted with the windcreen in place. It is the piece that runs from the plastic corner joins at the top right, down and along the bottom, then up to the top left plastic corner piece.
  14. Believe me you are getting an absolute bargain!!!! Originally this engine including labour cost me £9000. Unfortunately it was never set up properly and when i got it back the traction control which wasnt wired correctly was playing havok and the chip that had been fitted wasn't suitable either. As i already said since the rebuild the car was driven from Swindon to Glasgow and then was put on the back of a trailer and returned to Swindon. Basically about 500 miles of driving and i am allowing for 500 miles of driving that may or may not have occured after the engine was rebuilt before i picked up the car. Chris at Z tech being a totally genuine and all round nice guy agreed to fix any problems that the engine had for me and until about a month ago this engine was going to be put into my Strosek Z. As it happens another engine and lots of good accessories came up and i decided to go down a completely different route as i really want my new Z to be as good as i can make it. I originally wanted £4000 back for this engine once it was rebuilt and lowered the price to £3500. For £2750 plus your old engine, which again Chris has stuck his neck out and said he will take for £750 this is a cracking deal!
  15. It started in Drymen and we walked to Aberfoyle then it was on to the bikes and cycle up to Loch Tay. The last 17 mile stage on the bikes was horrendous. It was nothing but steep climbs followed by a little descent then back on to another hill! The scenery would have been fantastic if i had a chance to look at it, but i had to concentrate all the time on what was ahead as the ground was quite treacherous. We passed by Robroys grave and i was tempted to lie down next to him!!!
  16. Today i am recovering (mainly my butt!) from doing the Robroy Challenge which was a 16 mile walk followed by a 40 mile cycle. The course is pretty tough and it took 11 hours to complete. I had done practically no training for this and proved that with the right attitude and determination you can push yourself to the limit. I did this with 5 others and we raised £2100 for charity which i am chuffed with. Anyway got some cold beers and a comfy couch to get me through today!!!
  17. My Strosek Z is now at the bodyshop being prepared for painting. I am now having a crisis over what colour to paint it!!!! It is Black at present and i was going to change the colour to something like a metallic or Kandy Blue but i am now thinking it will look good in Black again! I want this to be something a bit different so if i do decide to keep it Black is there any paint effects that people can reccomend? I am really struggling and i need to make a decision really soon!
  18. Not quite sure what you mean? I think i will be going 99 spec as the missus fancies that! Could you elaborate?
  19. My strosek Z is going to the bodyshop very soon and i need to decide what to do rear spoiler wise. I have removed the old foam spoiler and quite fancy a 99 spec one but cant decide if it will suit the wide arches? Other options i can think of are lower tailgate skin from z centre. Perspex strip with brake light Both of these would mean no spoiler. Looking for some inspiration!
  20. Looks good! Cheers for the help and options so far. I will contact people in the morning to try to get prices and timescales etc. Really need to move my car as it is taking up garage space that isnt mine so if i can get it straight to a sprayer it will make life easier! PITA having no engine, gearbox or interior in it!!!!
  21. Ive got a whole wiper assembly that i removed from mine. Wont be able to look it out for a few days but will get round to it! Sure it will have what you need in there.
  22. Cheers! Really want to get hold of him today if possible.
  23. Cant send a PM to bigmincey as he has choosen not to accept them! Anyone else got his details?
  24. Well its time to get my car sprayed! The engine, gearbox and interior are out and i need to find a decent sprayer. If anyone is in contact with one or can reccomend a good one let me know. I am wanting a quality finish so no cowboys!!!! There are some knocks that need dressing and filling as well. Any suggestions?
  25. Looks like i will have to stick with a manual passenger seat then as cant be bothered retrimming the electric seats to match the rest of my interior!
