  1. My Z has just been delivered to Thor to have the AEM bits and bobs fitted and mapped. It has spent last week in Manchester at Phils getting the OS Giken gearbox and propshaft fitted (Top job again by the big man!) and Securicar Paul worked late last night to fit the new alarm system. Asked Thor to keep me informed next week as to how it is all going and if any other parts will be required during the mapping.
  2. In the last 18 months mine has done 1000 miles....... All on the back of a trailer!!!
  3. Brilliant ploy to evade the referees! Been grabbed to many times by refs and they know where to hurt you! I say 2+2 for roughing!:slap:
  4. I am just leaving it with them as i am in no hurry. I believe they would like to have the car for at least 1 day, but the longer the better.
  5. Cheers mate! Been working on this for a while now! Think it is meant to be a DTA chip iirc.
  6. It is just a 740cc chip. It came from Z-tech but dont know who they got it from. Not going to drive it anymore just in case. How do you tell if it has caused any damage?
  7. I have only driven 500 miles and it will be put on a trailer to get down to Manchester then again to coventry. I hope this isnt enough time to damage it? The plugs are PFR6B-11B at present. Which FPR do you recommend?
  8. Just bought the 8m x 1m roll! Door cards are off and the boot is bare at the moment so ideal time to do this.
  9. My Z will be back going back down to Phil to fit my new gearbox and one piece prop and i have asked him to double check everything now i have done a few hundred miles in it. It is seriously overfuelling at present, due to running on a 740cc chip which doesnt fully support all the mods. It cost me a tank and a half of fuel to go 200 miles LOL! Anyway, it will be going from Phil's down to Thor racing for about a week to give them plenty of time to fit the AEM, Wideband UEGO, MAP sensor and Air Temp sensor. Is there anything that you guys recommend doing in preparation for getting it mapped so nothing is missed? Also, the spec is below. I have been wondering if i need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator? Is there anything else that you guys would recommend i need? 10. One of my list of jobs still to do! What material did you use?
  11. Bought my first Z back in 1999 with 10,000 miles on the clock. It was immaculate when i got it £10,000. Bought my current Z for £3500, sold lots of parts from it for about £1500-£2000 and have spent 18 months and a fair bit of cash stripping it down and rebuilding it!
  12. Page 2 of the link under Karbonhaufenerhaoesernshdfuem aaaaaaaah! In true karate kid voice stylee!!!
  13. OS Giken box, wonder where that went!? I think i have sent at least 25 PM's to Chris in the last couple of days LOL! I hate seeing Z's being broken and i have done this myself to my old one. If it is any consolation to Chris, the parts i am buying from him will be going on my project and will be staying there. I have been a Z owner for 10 years and this one has taken ages/months/years to put together! It will never be sold! Haven't met Chris yet but from the PM's he seems a top bloke and i have no problems parting with cash to someone like that! All i can add is best of luck selling all the rest of your parts mate.
  14. Would the carbon fibre dial surrounds fit UK clocks? Really fancy these.
  15. Guys, I would like to install a new setup into the Z very soon and am looking for some expert help. I have got a double din centre console panel so will be needing a screen to suit as well as the following. 1. The system has to be discreet - i dont want a massive bassbox that fills the entire boot! 2. I would like a system that could run diagnostics through it and perhaps display oil/water temperatures etc as well on the screen. I do not want to fill the car with gauges so would prefer it to be on screen. Any ideas?
  16. Cheers guys!:duffer:
  17. Got mine booked in for a day at the end of september. Unfortunately i cant be there at the time but collecting the next day!
  18. Cheers Smithy! Exactly right and lessons have been learnt! Leaving the car for 4 days at Thor to let them do their stuff!
  19. Yes mate, apparently he had a batch made that were too short. At first we thought it was for an automatic but that is not the case. I now have 2 of these props which he says he will have collected and as soon as he has a correct batch made he will send one over. Phil had to fit the original spacer on to this one to make it fit almost correctly but it really does vibrate above 40! I guess the spacer throws it out of balance.
  20. He rebuilt the whole car practically! I delivered it as a bare shell to him. He built the engine up and fitted it, fitted the new wiring loom, interior, headlights, exhaust, prop, suspension, traction control, boost controller etc etc. I delivered a whole lot of parts and he put them all together!
  21. Picked the Z up from Phil at Blackmoor a couple of days ago and he has done a truly superb job! I cant recommend him highly enough for knowledge of these cars and he is so easy to get hold of as well. I have owned this Z now for 18 months and it felt really good to drive it rather than looking at it or working on it! I worked out i have been a Z owner now since 1999 and havent driven one for nearly 3 years because of problems with my old one prior to breaking it for spares. The next steps i need to do are get the AEM fitted and mapped which will be done at Thor next month and it will also be going to Centre of Gravity while it is down there to check all the suspension setup and tweak accordingly! I am waiting for a replacement 1 piece prop from concept Z which will hopefully arrive very soon due to this one being too short and causing a lot of vibration above 40mph, as well as a droning sound. A new alarm is being fitted and i will need to start thinking about a stereo setup aswell. On Monday it is going back to the trim shop to get my dash recovered due to the guy using the wrong kind of glue the first time! I also need to get the bodyshop to give it a final polish prior to fitting all the new exterior trims. Anyway i am really pleased to say i am now the owner of a MOT'd, taxed and insured road legal Z again!!!!!
  22. Hi mate, Just back from holiday tonight and will give you a call in the morning. Cheers!
  23. I have a brand new series 2 ptu loom unopened in the nissan bag if you are interested? http://www.z1motorsports.com/product...99b42b59261adc Same as in this link.
