  1. Think i am going to opt for the single pump to start with as i am tight on time for getting the parts and fitting them prior to the tuning session. I can always expand the system after this, if required. Guess i find out what the aeromotive pump is like and will report back!
  2. Hi Venturi, good to see you back on the site. As above Kenny knows what he is doing and if you can travel a bit further south Phil at Blackmore in Manchester is great with Z's. I use them both and are top blokes. As the rest of the guys have said there are lots of members nearby and will always help out where they can. Keep the Z!!
  3. Needing to upgrade my fuel pump and see that Z1 are selling an aeromotive 340 Lph fuel pump. My stock Pump is probably not operating as it used to and want as easy a way as possible to get more fuel through. Anyone used the aeromotive or should I go twin intank?
  4. Thanks Jimmer. I have been in touch with John and he is sorting the emerald system out for me as we speak.
  5. I was going to go down south to get it mapped as couldn't find anyone in Scotland. I got mine done down south when the engine was fitted but that was at Thor and I wouldn't go near them ever again. That said I decided to get an emerald system as I wanted to go down a different route. The AEM is a great bit of kit with lots of good features. Just need to be prepared to travel to get it mapped properly. Cheers
  6. Auto converted to manual using an OS Giken box.
  7. My zed still has no interior in it until next week so can't make it
  8. Heatshrink is exactly what John said also. If you are up for this I will give you a shout when it arrives and a free night out in Troon can be yours!!! I draw the line at going to Pebbles though!!!
  9. Spot on. John is providing full instructions and a base map to get the car running on the new ecu. The instructions will have which pin number and colour of wire to match up to the emerald harness he provides.
  10. Thanks guys. I know it is hard work keeping up with all the membership stuff and I do appreciate the time all the committee put in. Good to be fully subscribed again! Cheers Barry
  11. Anyone that is good with a soldering iron!!?? I have just ordered my Emerald Ecu from John Dixon and will be needing some help to fit it when it arrives. Anyone fancy lending me a hand as I don't even own a soldering iron let alone know what to do with one! Car is drivable so can travel to you. Any help much appreciated and will supply much beer in return!
  12. Bump! I could really do with my PMs back.
  13. Running the AEM with 3.5 bar map sensor, air temp sensor and dual uego wideband sensors. Also using a racelogic traction control system. Could you PM John on my behalf asking him to contact me at baz_michael@hotmail.com? I need this pretty quick and have already booked some mapping time at emerald with Dave Walker in August. I would like to get this fitted with a base map so I can drive the car down! Cheers
  14. Can't bring up the other thread on this on my iPod but I understand that John Dixon did a lot of work on this. Does John supply all that is required to get this up and running or do I get it direct from emerald? Still don't have my PM's enabled so can't PM him!
  15. Does anyone have a contact phone number for John Dixon?
  16. Cheers Jimmer, I have emailed John Dixon and am tempted to swap the AEM to an emerald system if it is easier to map and there are guys who are very capable of mapping it.
  17. Thanks Jaffa, was the hiccup at about 2500-3000 rpm or much higher? How was the idle when you were coming to a stop? That's my 2 issues and they may be related and not the Cas. Going to check the make of Cas also.
  18. If i switch to emerald which one do you recommend? and could I keep and use the AEM uego sensors and 3.5 bar map sensor with it or would they not be compatible?
  19. Did you get the disc through the AEM website? Do you live with the hiccup or have you gone down another route?
  20. Just back from the garage and the throttles are balanced and it is definitely a mapping issue. Just fitted splitfire coilpacks also. Are there any mappers that would travel to Glasgow? I can hire a brand new dyno that is just round from my house? Also, I read about the AEM having issues with the Cas. My Cas is a series 2 new style one. Could this be part of the problem?
