Got to get my zed out of my garage in glasgow and over to Hillington industrial estate about 5 miles away. Does anyone have, or has a contact that could trailer the zed over for me sometime in Jan? I would then need it trailered to Irvine once the work has been done a couple of weeks later. Car can be driven on and off trailer and has a wide arch kit. Cheers Barry

Good list but you need to think of the breathing side also. 2.5" intercooler and inlet piping plus a decent set of intercoolers will really help. I haven't done cams as letting the engine breathe better will produce better results than cams in relation to cost IMHO. Engine management is a must and I would recommend an Emerald System.

I have a carbon fibre 99 spec on mine. Look in my carbon fibre album and project album for pics.

Will give you a shout Big C when I take it off. I have a lot of jobs to do very soon including swapping the shifter, swapping to coil overs, installing 2.5" piping throughout the intake and intercooler system and finishing boot install!

It's a Z1 one that i have! I just don't like the feel of a short shifter.

No grinding. I am going to be moving back from a short shift to stock shifter as I don't like the feel of it but don't think this has anything to do with the box.

I have the os giken gearbox which I believe kirbz had first then sold it on to it's previous owner. It has longer gears for 1-3 iirc. I am running the leader gears diff also, so I think that what I gain from the longer gears I lose because of the diff but I ain't no technical wizard and am sure someone will clarify this!? All I know that 500bhp and this combination is great fun!

Looks like a good excuse to fit the new oil pan i have to save any damage by the constant right handers! Same as yours Bob I think?

Only had 2 zeds! I broke my blue one to use all the good parts for building my strosek black one. Been a never ending project! The 1 to 1 tuition is what we will get as it will be me and the wife driving! Will leave plenty of time between sessions to cool down etc. Is there a petrol station on site at all? Now wishing I had kept my AP racing brakes but unfortunately they did not fit under my wheels so only got the Brembos from a skyline on there now. Wonder if my wife would mind me buying new brakes and wheels!!!:lol:

LOL forgot that was on my sig! That was on my old zed about 6 years ago! Really need to get round to changing that. I need to check the sound limit as the booking says 87.5 but on the website it has 100. Will give them a call to find out.

Planning on getting it tested up here in the new year and due to motorway cruising droning noise I was going to see about fitting a couple of resonators. At present it is 2.5" straight through with 3.5" tailpipes. Not overly loud but can be annoying at 70mph!

Would be great to see a few Z's there! Building up throughout the day sounds like a good plan especially as we have all day there.

My wife has got me an open pit lane track day at Bedford aerodrome on 7th April. Never done a track day before and really excited! Will have to spend some time making sure the Z is ready for this and that it complies with the noise regs of 87.5db. Anyone been to this circuit and any hints and tips for prepping the Z? Anyone else fancy coming along? Merry crimbo!

It's been so long since my z has been complete that I'm having a mental block on this! I will go and take a photo to show what I mean. It just looks like there should be a piece of trim but I may be completely wrong as usual!

I'm onto shifts again so as long as I'm not working I'm up for wherever!

Having just fitted the Tailgate trim I think I am missing a bit! If you open the tailgate there are 2 side trim pieces which run towards the inside if the car and the bit I am missing would join these 2 pieces up running horizontally along the edge closest to the inside of the car. Is there meant to be a piece of trim there or am I imagining it?

Planning some upgrades for over winter and want to know what else needs to be replaced if I update to Jwt camshafts? Engine is already forged etc but can I just drop cams in or do other top end parts also need replacing? Cheers
