  2. Got a couple of photos on the progress of my engine from Phil today!!
  3. Cheers Graham, The bodyshop guy spent ages getting it all back to how it should be! Here is a couple of pics of work in progress! He also was amazed at the quality of the metal panels. Think i may keep the spacesavers on!!!
  4. Should be good when it is finished! Phil is doing a top job putting it back together. Cant wait to get it back and drive it, had it for over a year and never driven it! Sorting out the wheels/brakes issue just now and getting a whole lot more stuff sent down to phil to install. ;)
  5. Grand big chap! Cant believe how frustrating it is to be Registered only!!!
  6. I really dont want to have to sell these! Thats why i am trying to work out if it is better to change the AP Racing brakes for something a tad smaller, but they are brilliant brakes! Think i would have to see a stunning set of Alloys to let these go but i have no idea what else would look as good. The car is kitted with an original Strosek kit and the Strosek wheels would be nice to keep for shows. Needing suggestions from peeps as i am really torn between brakes and wheels:headvswal!
  7. The payment went yesterday using fastpay which said it should have been available to you in 2 hours. Can you check it hasnt arrived please!
  8. The manage attatchments isnt there while registered Si. That is the only way i know how!!!
  9. I have had these refurbed and as soon as i get my subscribed status back i will put up some photos! I was going to keep hold of these as they are super rare and do look stunning, however seeing as my AP Racing brakes dont fit under my 18" Rims i dont think they will fit under these 17" ones!!! I am contemplating whether to get a different brake setup or sell these alloys and my 18" Enkei Phelanx's and get a set of 19" Rims? What do you guys reckon? Any suggestions on different Alloys or Brakes?
  10. Paid via bank transfer :hyper:
  11. Completely agree with Si. Dan at DTA and Mike F have been faultless in supplying me with various parts and also with advice. I have used all the US companies above for various large orders and have been very pleased also.
  12. To put my spare engine onto the engine stand what size of bolts do i need? I dont have a spare set of gearbox bolts which is what i assume you would normally use so need to buy bolts which are the same. Read on and old post someone was using bolts from B&Q. Just need to know the length and size?
  13. I am wanting to upgrade my engine oil cooler and from reading past posts a 19 row one is the way to go. What ones are you guys running or any recommendations?
  14. Cheers mate, I got the loom from coz. I will be leaving the loom in the car now which will save me ordering an Auto loom. I talked to Phil today and he said that the spare plug goes into the fusebox. I will try to ask Jeff TT to see if he can shed any more light on it!
  15. Can you tell me what the third connector is and what it does? If it is unnecessary i will leave my new manual loom in the car. But i need to make sure it will be ok. I dont want to remove it if it doesnt make any difference. But i will order a new auto one and splice in new style connectors if it is an important plug! I am sure ANT_300zx would like clarification also if he has a manual one on order.
  16. Just checking!!! I have still to get from back section that will join the testpipes and will bear this in mind.
  17. I phoned Labree yesterday and they are very good. A guy called Brent has clarified that i have the 2 1/2 inch setup and that the opening is 60mm. I have got him supply me with the missing downpipe and all hardware which is a lot cheaper than buying a new pair. Bonus is they will fit straight on to the testpipes i have!
  18. What is the third connector for then? I dont want to have any issues once the engine is back in and would like some more information. Anyone?
  19. Phil has just put my manual loom into the car and discovered, if i remember correctly, there is only 2 plugs on the loom that go near the passenger side fuse box (i have no idea what they are but sure someone will enlighten me!) instead of three that is on the auto loom. There are three plugs that should have something plugged in to them! The loom that has just been fitted is a 1994 TT Manual and the car is a UK automatic that is being converted to manual.
  20. Just done the exact same and found out the hard way that a manual loom does not plug into an auto car even though you have converted it! You will need an auto loom, i am just about to get this from Z1 to replace the 1994 manual TT loom i bought! http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=2990 If you have new style injectors you can then buy the injector connectors and splice it into this loom.
  21. I know it says it is 3" but can you do me a favour and measure the actual diameter of the opening. Is it 1/4 inch smaller? The reason i ask is i have unknown testpipes that have a 2 1/4" opening and i have also 1 what is believed to be Labree split downpipe that also has a 2 1/4" opening. I have checked the labree website and it lists a 2 1/2" pipe. i am assuming that the opening is 1/4" smaller if that makes sense!
