  1. It has got genuine strosek stickers on it. The front struts are blue, i suspect they may be Tokico which Strosek have fitted or supplied. I havent got the rears off yet but will post up when i do. They are not coilovers. When i bought the car it was advertised as having Tokico shocks, only when i removed them did i notice the Strosek badge. I will take some pictures, but would need someone to resize them to post up.
  2. Cheers Andy, May have deleted it by accident as i usually delete the notifications that i have a new PM without reading them on my email! Thanks for reinstating me as a member :D
  3. It was bank transfer. I didnt get any warning that my membership was about to expire, it just went to registered user. If i had had warning i would have paid earlier allowing for payment to clear ;)
  4. Can i have my PM's back please! ;)
  5. Made payment this morning ;)
  6. Just had a look on there and they can be cryo treated for $99 which gives them a lifetime gaurantee. At the group buy price they are offering it seems pretty good.
  7. Is there any difference between these manifolds? http://www.300zxclub.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=2955&osCsid=37417979fda3fa747f80b8a14727bb5f http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=1281&Car_Type=300&UID=2008051102164778.86.129.210 I will be running GT675RS turbos and looking to buy one of these. Which one would be best?
  8. Nae bother! Cant wait to get the Z on the road and get along to a few meets. Hopefully sooner rather than later!
  9. I am off work for the next 2 weeks and have to remove the engine and autobox from my Z. Having never done this before any help i can get would be appreciated. The car is in Irvine but i live in Glasgow. Anyone available would be kindly rewarded with plenty of beers!!!!!:duffer:
  10. Tried parcelforce and they wont do it. Really struggling to get a company that will take car parts. Any other suggestions?
  11. Well i got the door trim off! I used quite a long flat blade screwdriver and levered the rectangular bit of plastic trim that is attached to door by the screw that i couldnt get at. It came away just enough for me to get a socket into the 2 bolts that hold the door trim on! There was no damage to either of the 2 parts!
  12. Cheers m8. Will need to weigh it tommorrow to get accurate quote.
  13. Anyone know a cheap courier company that will take a front bumper from Irvine, Scotland to London? Any recommendations where i should try?
  14. Trying to keep everything intact to sell. Whats this about connecting a battery to the window motor?
  15. Not sure putting a battery in will be safe as there are wires everywhere and a lot arent connected up. The car is being broken up. It is the door trim Funkysi. It all pulled off apart from, on the passenger side, the top left hand corner as you look at it from the inside. I have removed this before and remembered that there is a screw hidden behind the window that you access from the outside to free the panel.
  16. Is there any way to remove the door trims while the windows are up? There is a screw i cannot access behind the window and i dont have a battery in the car to allow me to lower the windows. I have the trim partially off, is there a manual way to lower the windows?
  17. My 2 Zeds, 1 without engine, are being delivered tommorrow! Will be able to start breaking the Blue car for spares and prepare the Black one for respray, manual conversion and new engine once i remove the old one! I just hope i havent bitten off more than i can chew with this project. Just keep telling myself it will be worth it in the end and hopefully will have an original Strosek kitted Z on the road in a few months! The company delivering them says he has never had anything as low and as wide on the back of his truck before! Big thanks to Chris at Ztech for helping the guys get the cars on the flatbed. The black widearch had to be put on a 4 post ramp and driven on because of how little ground clearance it has! Could be fun getting it off.
  18. Cant wait to see you gearbox fitted with just that!
  19. Cheers BIGSSS, that will come in handy! Hopefully i will have both cars up north in a couple of weeks to start the work.
  20. The time is fast approaching where i am going to be breaking my Blue TT for spares to make way for my new project. I have never completely dismantled a whole car before and have limited tools at present. My question is, what are the main tools i.e socket sizes, spanners etc etc, that are needed to completely dismantle my Z? I searched an old link and am looking at perhaps buying a Halfords Pro 150 piece socket set. Is this overkill? Would i be better buying specific sockets rather than wasting money on a big set? Also, i will need to remove the engine and Autobox from my new Z so that i can use the Blue Z parts for a manual conversion. I take it that i would be able to hire an engine crane as opposed to buying one?
  21. Got a T-Bar style tool made from hardened steel made up by engineering company. Picked it up this morning for the sum of £100. It is certainly very good quality and the refurbisher was well impressed with it. As expensive as it is, it is still cheaper than buying new wheels!!! Will post up pictures of alloys and tool in a few weeks when i get them back.
  22. Got a couple of quotes back ranging from £355 to £565. I was thinking anything under £400 would be ok as i couldnt tow them back myself for less than that realistically, given diesel, trailer and accommodation costs.
  23. As title says! Need 2 Z's moved. Does anyone know of a transportation company that could do this at a reasonable price? Cant use green flag as they may be suspicious how i drove the car with no engine!!!
  24. Anyone got a photo of a 99 spec spoiler on a wide arch Z?
