  1. Cheers! Looks like i'll give them a go myself. If i get stuck i will give AndyGP a shout if this is ok? What tools will i require?
  2. Getting a set of porterfield pads from smithy and looking for somewhere local to fit them. Anyone know of a decent garage in Berkshire that will fit them? My local place wont fit them because they are not supplying them! Cheers
  3. Came back from Florida last year with my Greddy e-manage and U/R pulleyset. Check out the South Florida 300zx site if you do a search on Google it will come up. The guy who runs it owns a tuning shop dedicated to Zeds!
  4. Chris at Hyper sports and Racing in Wigan done the E-manage fitting and setting up along with the boost controller. Phil at C&S woods in Astley fitted the clutch, flywheel and UR pulley set. Running at 1 bar now and feels like a different car!
  5. No idea what speed i was going as that is really the first time i have had the chance to give it some welly since it had the boost turned up!
  6. Ive just had the e-manage installed and am running it with an Apexi AVC-R boost controller. It is doing its job fine in my Z and will be easy to adjust when i get further modifications. I picked the full kit up in the states really cheap and it cost me about £120 to have it installed and set up.
  7. All good fun and games on the way home!!! Mine is the blue one, which now has a nice mark where a lump of that plank skimmed off it at about 90mph!!! Cant wait till the next one!!
  8. Got my Z back last week and will definetly be attending. Any ideas of how many others will be there? Really looking forward to this as i will be putting the Z into the garage until January at the end of the month.
  9. When i got my Z 3 years ago i had the same problem. The car could run for weeks fine then all of a sudden would start to overheat. Also when up on the ramps there was no visible signs of a leak. It turned out to be the water pump on mine as after about a year and a half of this problem it finally gave up on me while coming down the M6. Since replacing the pump everything has been fine.
  10. Ill definetly have my car back by then so count me in.
  11. Norton were good but i got an even cheaper policy from Carole Nash for my Zed. Havent got the number at hand but if u do a search i did post it about two weeks ago.
  12. Looks like i wont be getting my Z back in time after all:( It is really easy to get to from J11. Follow the signs for the Madejski stadium which is about half a mile from J11. Once you pass the Madejski there is an industrial estate on your left which BandQ and Comet are in. The entrance to the estate has Macdonalds on the left and Pizza Hut on the right.
  13. Should have my Z back by then as seeing as im in Wokingham it would be rude not to go!!:p
  14. Just got back from Florida where i saw a few nice Z's and a lot of 350z's as well. Bought my greddy e-manage system and UR Pulley set while i was there so will be getting them fitted in the next few weeks and will be able to turn the boost up! The dreaded insurance renewal letter came through while i was away for £750 but after a quick search for insurance companies on here and a quick phone call to Carole Nash (0800 2985555) i have just renewed for £426!!!! I am now the proud owner of a classic car!! I could not believe it the details are 4000 mile limited fully comp using no NCD. I am 26 with a TS10 and one accident from last year. This is a great policy as the Z is used as a second car anyway.
  15. Im in wokingham, but im off to Florida for three weeks tonight. If ure still interested when i get back no problem.
  16. Going up there at the start of October to get lots of goodies fitted when i get back from America. Might bump into a few of you when i am up!
  17. Cheers guys, I am going to try and get the discs replaced by the suppliers as i have been informed that there was a batch of discs that came from them that all had this squeaking fault. Bizzare or what! Im not going to hold my breath though. Lack 300, have you tried the bigger discs under 18's? I take it that they would still fit the brembo R33 calipers that i have? How much for a set of the 365mm or the 330mm?
  18. Looks like i am going to have to change the front discs as they squeal constantly. I have tried everything but looks like the visa card is going to have to appear again! At present they are Brembo R33 discs, 330mm i think? What is the largest size i can get? I think i seen somewhere about 365mm discs? I will also be changing to Porterfield pads. Are the RS4's the best?
  19. Looks good and cheap too. Is it legal in this country to change the red top half of the lense to clear as well or would u be pulled very quickly and slapped with a ticket?
  20. 25 Miles isnt far!!! I live in London and still take my car up to C&S Woods. Phil Knows his stuff about the Z and always takes care of his customers. I had tried many garages from Scotland right the way down to Bournmouth and loads inbetween and believe me good ones are hard to find!
  21. Cheers lads! I am definetly getting the full UR pulley set now, just waiting for the price to be confirmed. My clutch, flywheel and Greddy E Manage is going to be fitted together when i come back in October so up the boost will go! Looks like i will wait till i can afford the bigger turbos and pistons before i fit the injectors and Underdrive pulley though to save on labour ;) Oh well one step at a time as they say!!!
  22. Going to Florida for three weeks, starting in Kissimmee and driving down to Miami. I have been in touch with a guy who runs a Z tuning place close to Miami. He can get me anything i want and its very cheap compared to over here!
  23. Cheers Lads, The Greddy E Manage should look after the ECU side of thing as it can be adjusted for fuelling. I am trying to jump in on an American group buy on them and the price is looking around $75 per injector which is about £47 each the only problem is i dont know how much they are over here.
  24. Thanks Geoff, I have just e-mailed my contact to ask him how many Z he has fitted the pulleys on and if he has seen any problems with it. I have also got a Fidenza Flywheel on order and it should be here any day now. Looks like the whole pulley set which includes the crank, power steering alternator and water pump pulleys will set me back about £250 and then there is the belts to go on top of that. Just hope it will all fit in my suitcase!
  25. Thanks Devil, what else did u replace when u rebuilt the engine? I am trying to buy a lot of parts from America and bring them back home with me as everything is so much cheaper from there.
