  1. Done some more stuff on my two zeds today since it was nice weather. The silver zed has 99 spec bumpers and spoiler which I would like on the black zed so for starters off with them both ! I went up to the glasgow area yesterday with my brother and got a pair of bumpers for replacement for the ones I took just off, here they are all on my front lawn. Thanks again john300zx - great guy - nice meeting you ! The black ones above are to go on the silver zed and the silver ones are now for the black zed. Total bummer that they all need a respray now ! Anyways taking off as much good stuff as i can from the silver I decided to change over the stock air filter that came with the black zed to the newer one in the silver zed. Also thinking about the smooth look so removed the rear spoiler and wiper which both are in the forsale section if anybody wants them ! Notice the black lecky tape covering the holes as my tempory fix ! I'll be taking the black front an rear bumpers in for there respray tommorrow, as much as I want to get my black one done - i do need to get the silver back to a sellable condition quickly ! I've still to swap over the exhausts and put on the bumpers for the black zed but since jae is coming up shortly I need at least one of these beats ready for the trip down. as yet i'm not sure which ones going !
  2. Get your own courier !!
  3. Then again theres black light - which is so bloody fast we cant see it !
  4. Had to ask google this and heres what i found { but i dont believe it! } Light travels at a constant speed in vaccum... 3 x 10^8 m/s... But in media like air, glass, different wavelengths in the electromagnetic spectrum travel at different speeds. Refractive Index n is inversely proportional to wavelength of light. But refractive index = Speed of light in Vaccum/Speed of light in medium Hence, speed of light in media is directly proportional to wavelength... Since wavelength increases from Violet to Red, Red travels the fastest... Violet travels the slowest...
  5. Here's proof the black is faster : On my way home last night I past myself going to work today !
  6. The aerodynamics of black paint is what does it really, scientifically proven fact ! read that somewhere
  7. Driving home Alone were you ?
  8. If your looking for go fast stripes then buy yourself a corsa !
  9. Just bought a black zed - much faster than my old silver - then again the black is a TT
  10. Gives a break - just stripped and rebuilt a zed interior in a day !!
  11. After seeing the post about the hawk alarm I decided to hold off with the interior of the black zed untill my new alarm comes - hopefully it should be easier to install and neater since the cables can be hidden better. Also bought a new shifter from Daves_Zed so fairly looking forward to fiting that too. If all goes well over the weekend I should have the silver zeds bumpers off ready for a respray; also looking at fitting cruise - gonna need that for the trip to JAE in a few weeks.
  12. Forgot about this - mid day was a scorcher up here in troon so amazed to see my two cats gizmo and gadget sitting admiring the new zed, think they like it better than the silver one.
  13. Was starting to get dark so not much i could do next, so quickly got the newer carpet back into the black zed !
  14. Not the greatest of pics but heres the silver zed interior rebuilt !
  15. Next was to work on the lights, the black zed had to old style indicators and the ones i wanted where on the silver zed - shiny new 99 style ! It was a complete bugger getting them all off as they were properly sealed on with the same stuff that I was about to use to switch them over and reseal them - black glue. After an hour tugging they all came off; spent the next one cleaning all the old gunk off before finally adding some of my own gunk to them to seal them off. Much better looking !
  16. Been great weather the last two days and i've managed to strip down my silver zed and rebuild with the old interior of the black zed. As the silver zed had all the interior that I wanted she had to be stripped too ! I took a day to strip her down then do a full interior rebuild from the black zed.
  17. Believe it or not this is the naked lady I'm taking to JAE ! Should have her sorted by then though !
  18. I'm not a bad hand on the electrics myself - engine stuff that stumps me ! Here's my current zed - maybe this should be censored as it's showing a naked lady !
  19. Hopefully not the illuminas green as in the example pics ! lol
  20. Time to get the volt meter out and start tracing the cables back ! I had similar problems in my old vw bora, ended up being a fault in the fuse holder !
  21. Looking good - keep us updated when ther arrive!
  22. not promoting illegal downloads or anything - downloading purley for demo or freeware license - I personally use suppertorrents - but you need an invite.
  23. Had some spare time today so I thought I would start the strip down of the interior. I'm installing a new carpet shortly from the silver zed {when its stripped} so everything had to come out, seats, stereo, pods, guages and finally the dash. Before I fit the new carpet i'm going to redo the cabling for the antenna and rear lights, also will fit a few upgrades ready for installing a rear amp and so on. Here she is stripped down - a naked lady !
  24. Looks brill for the price, no wonder it sold out!
  25. great, so the loom down to the aircon ecu comes out then, i never dug deep enough to check, i just thought the cables went down to the main ecu. Cheers
