iphone 5
Please don't let this turn into a iphone vs android thread ! theres pros and cons to both systems and its like doing the old pc vs mac debate. There people who simple hate Apple and people who just hate anything anti Apple. Its good fun to have a debate on topics but its getting out of hand when people start cursing at each other or at the manufacturers on a thread just because of there personal views.

another manual conversion thread :( :(
I'll speak to Gordie again but reckon £400 ! He's told me £250 for the mechanical bit like taking the autobox out and fitting in the manual one so its just the cost of my time really over the three days. He knows plenty about mechanics but zip all about electrics that concern doing the full conversion but i've done it before and it is really easy; It just can be time consuming; as i remove the dash which makes life easier to install the clutch booster and pedals. If you work out the rough costs then : Manual Box plus all parts for conversion :- £550 - £600 New transmission fluid plus any gaskets / seals / pipes :- £50 - £100 Labour - £400 Total £1000 - £1100 Getting a quote for £1200 was not bad actually but unless your paying extra for a warranty on parts would you not rather source your own bits as i did on here then do it yourself ? Plenty of good kits available in the forsale section. Anyways labour on our part would likely be no more than £400 and that would be split £250 for mechanics and £150 doing pedals, booster, electrics and dash work. Lee

another manual conversion thread :( :(
Just done mine at a local garage of my mates and we are thinking of doing conversions now! If whoever wants the conversion done we can do it for the costs of labour ! i.e - after you source a conversion kit with all bits needed. It took me and my mate three days to do a conversion and I'm thinking at a push as long as there's no issues we could get it down to just two days. We're based in Ayrshire - Scotland and my auto was converted my myself and my mate Gordie who is a local friend and mechanic. Any interest just PM me.

name's you got wrong
After I got married my wife changed a lot of legal documents to her new name of young at first she received a new insurance document threw as mrs bernadette Cameron which is actually her maiden name; she promptly phoned to fix the problem stating that the name shown is her maiden name and how could her maiden name be a mrs so can they fix it! The following week a new policy followed in the post showing the name 'Miss Bernadette Young' Followed by another call to fix that mistake !

No Central Locking
Is there a hidden fuse somewhere that could be blown ? I've checked all the footwell fuses at the drivers side and double checked the cabling on both doors but locks still won't lock centrally! I've tried to trace the two cables on the passengers side which are blue/green and blue to the drivers side but at the drivers side I get no signal to what I think is the other side of the cables. I think I need another zed with the same loom to compare against to fix this. Also the diagram you gave me doesn't match my series of zed as colours in the looms are different. Again need help.

No Central Locking
tried it but the doors still wont lock, although the plug for the actuator is different i cant figure out what goes where colour wise as thats different too. Also there was an extra long cable with two pins, any ideas where that plugged into ?

No Central Locking
Still totally stuck with this. I've checked all fuses and everything seems to be ok, it seems my door loom differs to the main dash loom i fitted a few weeks ago hense the fault with the central locking. there is four cables that goto the door actuator / lock - does anyone know what each cable does ? I've check the diagram posted by groover but i'm lost to understand it as nothing matches. HELP:wacko::sweatdrop:

flat battery (99 spec 3rd brake light)
Yeh it's should blow a fuse somewhere, how did you wire up the brake light ? Did you put it in series with the other lights or link it in parallel ?

Odometer
Done it on mine but likely people are reluctant to say how or why they did it. If it's a genuine reason to clock it back to genuine miles then ok but having a how to of howto clock the odometer on the forums is a legal no no and anyone who posts it will likely have the thread pulled by one of our mods!
