About to say the same thing, my install guide is version 3 dated august 2003 ! You got a newer one ?

mine does it too, but the fault on mine is that it bangs of my after market exhaust ! I gues on electronic hicas a fault light may show if it detects a failure in the motor or something

lol, just took this out of my zed to replace it with a toad !

Get yourself a voltage meter and put it inbetween the battery terminal and test for amps while the eignition is off ! Then if you see a drain then pop out fuses to find out its rough location. Heres a nice site describing what to do : http://www.askthemechanic.co.uk/electrical/battery-drain.html

So do you rebuild these just for yourself or for other too as a job ?

Also does the car have an alarm ?

on my series 4 theres an extra plug in the loom but its looks factory taped back as its not used

pop out the accesories fuse and give it a charge again, this will rule out your stereo and anything else connected via the same loom in there

Mine will be a shell by next month too likely, after the insurance runs out I'll be sorning her then will take a few more bits off her, likely let the shell go for about 1k that includes the engine!

I've stripped down a few zeds now and the most exciting thing I found was a unopened packet of salt n vinegar square crisps !

Cheers, Still lots to do, I had both looms spread out on my living room carpet today to compare and I might need to do some modifications on the older one. On my loom there seems to be 3 extra relays and the ignitions plugs have changed too. I'm hoping that the extra relays are related to air on only! I'll try to post some pics up later.

Easiest way is to host them yourself or use photobucket !

if the weather right i'm stripping down my zed this weekend too ! and if its pouring down a car show isn't the greatest place to wander round in the wet !
