  1. Onto the clutch and this was fun fitting and trying to torque up without it rotating. Eventually put a large socket in the front pulley and let it push against the bulk head.
  2. Few more issues but managed to resolve them eventually. First was to do with the oil pressure sender, as i located this on the oil tree and nearly managed to crack it off when installing the engine as i never knew it falls foul of the steering column. So found an old oil sandwich plate and a few adaptors and managed to rig up a new location for it that works well.
  3. Up she goes
  4. Didnt see you as the sort of guy into this sort of rock
  5. Well the plenum is held on itself with about 10 or 12 i think, including the side ones.
  6. wired up most of the engine harness to keep things tidy but before the front pipes and radiator is fitted i need to put the whole car on axle stands ready to fit the gearbox. That will push the engine forward a bit ready for all the front end jobs.
  7. And it's in.
  8. New crane adaptor to lift the engine is mush better than using straps. However ever so slightly tricky to get hooked up simply because of the wide engine stand i'm using. Up and away, tempted to put her in now.
  9. Then a few cuts of the silcon pipes to get them down to size.
  10. So i've had to improvise and cut doen the oem pipes then wire brush the ends to make them smooth.
  11. Would you believe the so called kit i purchased from concept doesnt fit. The two connections that mount to the Turbos's are way to small compared to the flange on the OEM pipes.
  12. All going well the engines going in this weekend :)
  13. sorry but how on earth is anybody suppose to know that on here ? Look the reg up on the DVLA, least that will tell you if its still on the road.
  14. When buying from ConceptZ or Z1 one simply doesnt just order 1 item. So with that rule in place in comes some new bling. And also orders a new engine sling so that it makes life easier putting this new build back in its place.
  15. New oil pipes and adaptors have arrived from ConceptZ
  16. It's not had mot or tax since 2011, nor is it sorn'd 🙁 Unless it's sitting in someone's garage forgotten about its likely been scrapped 😞
  17. Store is now setup and ready, Just need to organise a few suppliers and get some test products in. https://www.300zx-owners.shop/
  18. do you have the graphics for those ?
  19. Nearly ready to put the engine back in 😀 Had to order a set of oil pipes from ConceptZ as the stock ones are too tight in terms of lining up with the sump. So everything is done and just await a delivery next week from Fedex again. Also fitted all the wiring for the injectors and coil packs, they are all on 3 sub looms each with a break away plug so easier routing it the way i want now.

  21. Video explaining James' method of doing the timing belt on the VG30. We included some personal tips in the video. Hope this helps anyone looking to tackle this task themselves on the VG30.
  22. Yeh, Updated a few of the site graphics too.
  23. Upper pipes now match up more or less. This ones slightly out but i think it will do, as cant move it any further without the actuator arm hitting the oil tree as before.
