  1. Do you use hotmail or an equivalent service ?
  2. i'm the same way and tend to wrap up my looms in cloth loom tape to make them look oem; also helps with disguising the alarm stuff.
  3. After having electric issues with my new zed and the alarm going off I decided to strip out the old system. I've owned three Zeds now and I must say on each one the install of the alarms was shocking to say the least. Do alarm installers really don't give a toss or something. The alarm I just removed even had cables running under the carpet that terminated with bare wire connected to absolutely nothing. This alarm was installed over five years ago so maybe over time parts were non functioning and removed. I've still to solder up the old cables in the ignition but as it started raining and I've no garage I had to give up for tonight. Another thing that gets me concerned is the emobilizer circuit as the gauge of wire in the alarm is always a third of the size of the gauge of wire used as part of the ignition, could this not cause issues of overheating much like how a heating element works by putting high voltage through a small gauge wire to heat it up?
  4. Yeah, it would def stop updates that disables the activation process from working.
  5. Job Done :chinese:
  6. Can only keep this connection open for another 15 minutes or so then I need to head off.
  7. I only purchased it a few days ago to be honest and had planned to break my black one. On the trip home I had a leaky fuel tank which i'll fix first of course but apart from that she's a stock UK model. as I don't want to pass the buck of the problems that I got when I purchased it i'm going to fix them first then sell her. And most of the issues I had were simply miscare towards it and I've already started repairs. If you send me your email address i'll send some pics.

  12. The official name of Windows NT hasn't been used for some time now and even pre dates windows 98 by 5 years. On the consumer level Windows XP and 2000 was the first platforms to inherit the NT kernel as such. But as you say you having an issue with a kernel dll file which could be due to having malware or worst case a virus messing with system files, firstly don't attempt to replace the dll from a dll download site as most cases this could make your situation worse. if you can start from scratch and do a complete clean reinstall using an original install method. i use the full version and free version of consult and the datascan programs and they work fine on every system I've ever installed from XP to even windows 8 so I it more than likely a damaged install.
  13. Thanks for the offer but as a registered user you can't offer to sell parts so I've edited your comments.
  14. Lol, so many options there I'm not sure. i basically would like to strip her back to the bare skin. i believe the shell is solid but it will give me piece of mind too.
  15. As title, anyone done this. I have a stripped down 96 shell which I plan to respray but wanting my project done properly I was planning to take it to a local garage which can do shot blasting. Loads of videos on the net of getting it done but I've also read that it can distort the panels. What's everyone's thoughts?
