Back to rebuilding my calipers today and after cleaning them up again I installed new seals and pistons. First I worked on the rears : Then the fronts :

Before I start; yes I know I split the callipers but as the pistons were ceased I had no choice ! Ok, to start putting them back together for lubrication what grease or oil should I use ? I've seen a few videos on youtube but they don't explain in detail. Can I just use the same dot 4/5 brake fluid to lube inner seals up or something else ?

It could simple be a comport issue, check the settings of consult and ensure its using the correct port.Used an engine gunk remover to get all the excess grease, oil and muck removed which the wife kindly done. One calliper was jammed stiff so I've left it to steep in oil over night to see if it will free up a bit.

lol, I did exactly that, but it was piss easy for me as my hicas was electronic.Missing the small plastic halo that fits around the ignition. Anyone got a spare ?Even though we both have series 4's our looms are totally different. The pic I showed comes from the round spinning disc and controls the airbag, horn, cruise and hicas. I can see its even a different colour between my pics and yours. All in there is 8 cables on mine.Whats happened? He was originally based in Ayrshire near me. We planned on sharing a unit together up here a while back.
