  1. Getting there.
  2. Boot interior trims now fitted along with the tailgate trims.
  3. The wife says hi !
  4. Interior wise my daughter gave a helping hand to clean the dust off all the parts. Reg plate fitted and from the front it looks like I have a working zed. All but an engine under that bonnet.
  5. I wanted to finish off the front side so I bolted on the bumper and fitted all the lights. Looking more like a zed now.
  6. Working on my zed today and for the first time in 6 months it was warm enough so i pushed the zed out to get some sun.
  7. Upgrade to v5. Something we discussed at the last Agm.
  8. True, But no that's not it.
  9. Had a wee upgrade to my office PC to make it easier to develop websites on. Anybody spot anything ?
  10. I think as the glass has been pushed into place the rubber inner track has came away from the lower part of the glass. So its not tucked in and is now lifting up. Do you think its a full glass out again or is a way to take that single piece off and fit it again ? I don't wish to attempt glass removal again if I can avoid it.
  11. Front and side glass now fitted, had some issues with the top trim as it seems to have lifted slightly after we fitted it. Not sure what to do about it now as its noticeable from my perspective. Apart from that it looks good and my zed is near whole again. :)
  12. Over the years I've done many a job using every day household items that the wife would normally protest about. From hoovering out my zed carpet on the driveway (separate from the zed), cooking my headlights in the oven and cleaning various engine parts in the dishwasher. But can anyone say for sure that they have washed and dried there zed windscreen in the bath ? Well tomorrow my glass gets refitted and I had to take it out of storage from my loft and give it a good scrub. Gives a new definition to car wash :
  13. time to order every 400z and z35 domain name i can find :)
  14. Possibly, But both pulled from TT's.
  15. Like most folks on here I have a few spares lying around but I've only just notices this : Both were taken from series 4 zeds, and the one on the right is way bigger. Overall the larger unit looks better built and is made by Hitachi but is also branded Nissan.
  16. Cheers, Going to leave them as is for now.
  17. Rest of my glass is factory blue which make this a bit strange.
  18. Yes, but nothing specific I think to say what glass it is or where it came from.
  19. Its very hard to tell, even with white paper behind the glass. My zed is a JapSpec 96 Series 4 TT. All the other glass was blue but as I said the quarter glass had a tint / film on it which I removed.
  20. I thought so for the main glass but the quarter glass is different. It had a dark tint which I removed and there is now no tint as far as I can see. The glass is 100% transparent. Even using white paper behind to check it looks untinted.
  21. Also fitted the drivers foot well fuse box today. Ended up removing the pedals again just to give me some room. All in it took about an hour on my side lying on the floor of the zed. Bugger of a job and wished I took a reference photo to show where everything went back. But got there in the end. :)
  22. Just about to fit the air blower and also the empty carcus for the aircon unit. Rather than fit the old unit which can no longer be used I stripped it out of the casing.
