  2. Si where do you get your paint job done and how much pm details please thank you.
  3. Went down to my local car masters. and asked them what the best gearbox oil they have for a 300zx. after heading for his book, he showed me there are infact 2 types of gearbox oil and id need to find out what one it uses so as not to damage the gearbox. I found this surprising and quite alarming due to filling the gearbox already with 80/90 (that was going to get changed again on Friday) so now not sure what the best is for my engine. Car specs in my sig. Please help. as i dont want to knacker it again with the wrong gearbox oil
  4. this is to delete unwanted pipe work from around the engine and eliminate components of the engine system that likely can cause vacuum leaks at some point. simplifying the engine bay lowers the risk of vacuum leaks and shortens the amount of work involved in trying to track down one later. also cleans up the engine bay so its easier to work on later. Im actually after the diagram for a N/A so i know what to plug in where. as some of the pipes i have still haven't been connected, and the markers i put on came off. also some of them i just completely forgot to mark. Would be nice to know where they go for those who do not want to eliminate these systems. although my new engine starts, its smelling a bit rich. so was hoping to connect these pipes and see if that sorts out the problem before i look else where. The service manuel is no help due to it looking like someone did the diagram with a marker pen, and is somewhat hard to follow.

  6. agreed, i have a cat and a pet mouse, twice we almost didn't have a pet mouse, plus get a 1 year old not kitten, that way it should be already for night duty outside. (make sure you keep it in the house for 2 weeks first, you do want it to come home lol) and let it venture into the garage a few hours a day. very soon you will have one of two things. dead mice as presents. or half eaten mice lol. Failing that, local B&Q for some mouse traps, if the mice are anything like my pet door mouse (yes wild mouse caught, and now my daughters pet lucky little thing lol) put some hobnobs on the mouse trap, irresistible to the little buggers.
  7. Anything like this picture available for a N/A please, i still have some vacuum lines that need to go somewhere or be deleted, and would be nice to know what bits to either connect or block up. thankiess in advance.
  8. I did search, im not afraid of it, what i am afraid off, is spending the next 10 years reading all 24397394 threads that are already there. Just a quick, Blah blah im using this, blah blah im using that. and nope i defo wont be touching the cheap-o-matic crap
  9. what do you run? im leaning more towards mobile 1 super s 10/40 for my final oil change
  10. wow, oi woman get your mits off the Zed, your putting prints on the bonnet! That's one of the best Zeds Ive seen, got any more pictures? want to see if the front bumper doesnt ruin it.
  11. Are you suggesting im a fat b*****d lol:dance:
  12. well i was thinking of cutting out the floor panel just below my feet, and using my legs, i think that should boost me to at least 650bhp, but might need to just tweak the fuel intake a bit first lol
  13. well apparently its kicking out 450bhp that car. even though its a N/A with exhaust and induction kit and whacking great big bottle of NOS in the back lol Cough *yeah right *cough
  14. misses has had to hide the keys so i dont go getting any silly ideas about taking it for a spin lol. not that i will, dont want to damage it after I've just fixed it. want to make sure everything is good before i even attempt to drive it anywhere yet. i wont even drive it back into the garage until I've done what i said im going to do with the oil / oil filter and other fluids. no leaks anywhere though so that's a good sign.
  15. Need to sort out front pads and disks, and 2 rear tires then its off to the MOT station for a fail lol, naa hopefully a pass but i dont mind, least ill know what needs doing then. But yeah, im well chuffed first engine change I've done, did everything on me own and loved every minute of it :D Im curious though it sounds fine, no misfires or anything, but the idle is a bit erratic, it revs its self up to around 1200rpm then drops settles down to around 1000, but just seems like it wants to carry on revving its self up to 1200. not sure if its just the cables need to be adjusted or not. Also need to get my self a new oil filter as the one on it, is dented to hell, but that can wait till its off the ramps and Axel stands. just want to change the gearbox oil, topped it up, but want to give it another clean lot once its ran for a bit. Still need to get it down to my friends to get it on a 4 poster, and give it some new bolts on the exhaust system. as im also missing a triangle exhaust gasket from manifold to exhaust that needs to be put on. it was also running with out the too vacuum pipe works connected properly (small rubber vacuum lines either side of the engine, ones the Carbon canister connections i know that, not sure what the other one is, as the stickers i was using to mark them with came off. but they go to a solenoid with colored dots on at the out bound area of the small pipes)
  16. lol glad to know the exhaust sounds good with out being bolted together in the middle :p
  17. excuse my daughter screaming and the wife coughing lol sounds like its ticking in the vid but not when stood next to it??
  18. this thing is taking ages to upload
  19. post video in a few, just need to check a few things over first
  20. It's Alive......... f yeah :D:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:
  21. Before my engine died on me, i got the chance to drive it. Where is the clutch supposed to engage on these cars? mine clutch was either off, or fully engaged, there didn't seem to be any room to slowly let the clutch out. do i need to bleed it you think? Also one of my track rod arm gaiters is split would this be a MOT failure?
