  1. There is a reason people go commando you know.
  2. Git. It looked good when lowered to its lowest setting with its hydropneumatic suspension shame you cant drive it like that though, and it ran on pure rapeseed oil when it was £1.65 per 3 litres in tescos (the looks i used to get when filling that up was funny as hell) which gave better performance, a cleaner engine and the constant smell of donuts wafting out of the tail pipe. Just wasn't very good for carting around a pregnant woman with the magic carpet ride feel of it.
  3. wheres the poll? But, my first car was a 1990 golf GTI, with no air con, had a sunroof though. and that was hot as hell come summer. then i got a xantia 1.9td (dont laugh, i hated that car) which did have aircon till the aircon pump clutch seized. during summer i might add. so never really used it in that either. then my next car after that was a 2lt turbo pug 406. bloody rare thing. but good news is the Aircon worked in that. but was only good for clearing the windscreen in the winter. soooo I can live with out it. but id prefer it if i ever get around to using it for what its intended for. Ill keep it as a novelty at the moment lol (surprisingly it does still work on my 20 year old Zed)
  4. more to the point, how did you get the housing apart. i had a look the other day as i was toying with the idea of modding a 99spec look. but couldn't get them apart as i didn't want to break the plastic around the small clippy type things holding them together.
  5. well looks like a better option to be honest as i love getting deep down in things like this, but what i don't want to do is get half decent replacement parts if im going down this route.
  6. happy birthday matey hope you have a good one
  7. Anyone dealt with this Seller on ebay? as it looks like i may as well just recondition the turbos my self, and get them balanced separately
  8. Water bypass on the upper plenum, so if you have a water leak on one of your pipes, its a lot easier to sort out at a later date, plus the added benefit of new tubing. EGR delete, same thing, these can fail and when they do its a engine out job as its located right at the back of the engine, will also make getting the dreaded knock sensor slightly easier as the EGR sits in front of it. There are a few threads up about it
  9. new temp valve, new cam belt, new tensioners / water pump / pulleys, new rear and front crank oil seal, new aux belts, water by pass, egr delete, new pipes. Basically anything that looks like its going to be a pain in the ass to sort out at a later date with the engine back in. -
  10. when you say "it gets so far" does it get to extracting the files? or is it actually installing your software (after the extracting of files) ? Blue screen could mean a number of different things. Windows is designed to throw up a blue screen to help narrow down the problem, but sometimes it will throw a random error in if it hasn't got a clue what caused it. What are the specs of your laptop and can you try taking out a stick of ram? if you get the BS again, swap it for the other stick. and hope to god its not a bad sector on the hard drive.
  11. Oi, are you popping around Saturday? my be we can start a 300zx anonymous, feel good group.
  12. not good, starting with immediate effect, my forum whoring will now go to defcon 3 @DaZvert I feel for you bro. lol
  13. all im going to say is, dont look at my posts per day statistic lol
  14. The names Bond..........James Bond........... Lol nope, I had the same problem when watching it, the mkv files it can handle, it was the audio codec that was stopping me hearing what was being said (even though it was in Japanese with English subs, I still wanted to hear it) it's the only set of mkv files I know that don't play correctly in vlc
  15. Are you watching wangan by any chance?
  16. Vlc player plays almost all file formats with out the need for a codec pack awesome player to be honest
  17. Z1 method is routing the pipe back to the pot
  18. Lol, could you recommend a good manafold then bud?
  19. First dibs on the rear bumper if you don't keep it lol
  20. Thanks bud, yeah going to be fitting stock tubs again, while I decide whether to go for uprated turbos or just recon the ones ive got, think I'll go for the tubular manafolds as it saves me doing them later and on the plus side I can be safe in the knowledge that I won't have a gasket leak at the manafold at a later date. I'll have a look into getting some devorced elbow as well, as I'll be going for a x decat stainless steal system, just wish there was a way of emptying my back boxes of water, that doesnt involve me going for a long drive with no tax and mot.
  21. Gotta love honesty lol craig just do what I said, mask it off taking your time cover the bonnet and anywhere else you don't want to get paint and spray it, building up a few layers, allowing time to dry between layers
  22. As I'm gunna be pulling the engine to fit different turbos is there any benifit to changing the manafold while I'm there to a stainless steal one? I know about gain in airflow, or does the oem one do a good enough job? Also been back under the car, when I shake my back boxes I can here loads of Water sloshing about, was going to take them off and empty them to see if my car still smokes after. but looks like I'm going to be angle grinding it off, not even sure I can save the elbows, what are devorced elbows? And what's the benifit? Sorry for the questions but im more a stock man than uprated parts specialist
  23. If you support the gear box on the pivot point you don't have to lift the engine, as you take the strain off of the gear box bolts and thus the engine is already aligned as it also balances on the engine mounts. I'm not trying to be picky, you might of just had a placibo effect, but honestly soon as you start lifting the engine with the gearbox attached you are adding more pressure to the bolts as it lifts the gearbox as well.
  24. As with anything adjustable first thing to do is get taken somewhere that can set everything up properly, you will need to set everything back to stock with the adjustments then get it changed to suit your ride hight and driving style, but with inside tyre ware I'd say tracking first then camber
