  1. Why? they look good together, was just saying the yellow one looks nicer lol Silver steak is still nice. but just not my cup of tea in the body styling department. Im sure you will be happy with both.
  2. I have to say, i like the yellow one better. it looks a lot less fussy
  3. The borg have already done that too their ships
  4. Sparky, if you want mine £800 quid, today's offer only, would have to be quick with the cash though, and your only down the road from me in bedford.
  5. apparently if you can get a hair dry to reach, you can get the glass off with out even removing them from the car. just take your time to heat the sticky stuff. and have fun.
  6. after seeing the BMW, i have to agree with Si on this one. there really wasn't much thought put into the BMW, infant not much thought put into a lot of the Rat look cars, cept the wheels. Putting a few dents here and there, and the rusty bonnet, is hardly making a statement. i can get the same look with out even trying, just by visiting a scrap yard for parts and panels. No effort involved from what i can see. And as someone mentioned already. id rather my car not be anywhere near a Rat, and mine isn't even perfect. would rather not have car parts thrown at me as it shakes its self to bits accelerating. after all, if they dont care about the body work to the point it actually looks unsafe, whats to say the same care and attention hasn't been given to the rest of the car. Its not narrow minded to view a Rat as a pile of crap, and its definitely not narrow minded to take pride in having a nice looking car. and although some will be arrogant about what car they own. you get that in all cars so that's a mute point. Id rather have a nice shiny car that i know is safe to drive, rather than making it rust to the point its weakening the metal that's there to protect you in the event of an accident, or help protect pedestrians you might mow down. the thing with good body work is you know its in good shape, you know its the correct fitness to serve its purpose, with rusting something, the metal starts to thin, it looses its core integrity. i wonder just how long this "trend" will last once serious accidents start happening. then you will see the government implement new stringent safety measure that will effect everyone on the road, why do you think we have MOTs already?
  7. Shame your so far away, would of put you up for a bit till you had time to get the heating sorted out. Hope you get it sorted bud.
  8. Take out the spark plugs and see if they are dripping in petrol, you might of just flooded the engine.
  9. tape on the windscreen is because its just had a new window put in, thats to hold the glass while the bond drys. It might look too good in the photos, but that paint job looks just like its been done with spray cans, as its showing the small "pitting" marks that you get from cans. as for the engine bay, can you say "over spray?" Who ever did the spray job on my car, used a yellow primer, so if you get any chips or dinks that take the top layer of paint off (not hard considering no lacquer has been used) you get a nice yellow blob where the black was, and they have managed to spray some of the parts inside the engine with over spray of the yellow primer? The front bumper looks like it came off a rat to start with. and the rear spoiler is only held on with the two clips on the side wings of it. it would be a good base to start from to be honest. but one thing i will say is, IF and a big one at that, you did decide to, the wheels wouldn't be going with it, but i do have some standard alloys id throw on. As for the rat look, personally i wouldn't be seen with one. but it is personal choice and you do what you want to do and screw what others think. as long as its just cosmetic and doesn't hinder the safety aspect, i cant see what the big problem is. To who ever said these cars make you arrogant. i say go hang around BMW owners and notice the difference. them lot are arrogant (not all i might add), they come hammering up behind you thinking they own the road, half of them dont know their cars come with indicators. and the other half dont know how to drive. And i doubt that dude with the rat has a bigger wanger than everone on this site. i didn't get my car as a penis extension. if i wanted one of them, id buy a jag.
  10. Well, mat black has been done, check my rides. lol OK not quite mat black, but when its not buffed or polished its not far off, Let me check Ebay, if i see a nice tidy one, you can buy mine off me for the price of the tidy one and some petrol to get it home, then you can knock you self out with what ever it is you want to do to it. (PS, its the black one in my rides, the silver one ratted on its own)
  11. Do not think of contacting the COP, lol OMG, nice of him to supply you with his full name Western union for security reasons? HAHAHA Id reply saying your name was Donald rumsfeld or something, and that you will get your "boys" at the "CIA" to pay him a little visit, also ask him what kind of missiles he likes, would he like to see a personnel test of a pave-way? or tomahawk cruise missile. I bet you wont get a reply back, ooh and end it with Best of luck Donald Rumsfeld.
  12. grab me one, who do i post the 20P to, and do you think it would make it through the post with a stamp on one side and the address on the other ;)
  13. I had to look twice then, looked like you had racing slicks on... Bloody nice wheels though.
  14. i thought ebay said at one point that you couldn't withdraw the sale "as its advertised else where" unless it was a classified add? and that the contract was legally binding due to the auction running its cause, I'm pretty sure that would even stand up in a court of law? as it even states when bidding its a legally binding contract, has anyone even taken someone to court over something like this? would be interesting to see what the outcome was. I know that there were a few cases in the US about false advertising, but I've never seen one where the person one the auction and the seller refused to hand over what was rightfully won. Sounds to me like the dude selling didn't like the low selling price and came up with BS as to why hes not handing the car over.
  15. Well i have a autobox and all parts necessary to swap it all over, and im closer, so if you want to do a auto to manual swap, im sure we could work something out.
  16. glad you found out what that was, had us both scratching our heads when you asked me yesterday, and yeah does it work? lol
  17. again going on what what i know, popping would be a cause to have your compression check, also the nature of your smoking doesn't sound like oil seals on the turbos, but don't count it out just yet. many things cause smoking on the car its just narrowing it down to what it could be, have you smelt the smoke does it smell like oil? Also do you get clouds of it when you bring the revs up or just at idle? from what i know when your oil seals are going it drips oil into your turbos, then when they spool up you get more oil and more smoke. are they smoking on both sides and if so, do you have a balance tube installed? from my research about my own smoking tt, both going at the same time is rare, its usually one after the other. I have smoke coming from mine, it does it under load, and at idle, its not big thick clouds of the stuff and its more white than anything else. it also spits loads of water out of both pipes when you plip it. and my smoke smells of nothing but burnt fuel. Can you get a video up of the smoking? might help a little bit more. Things that can cause smoking tail pipes are Condensation PCV valve blockage worn turbo seals The start of head gasket failure, but there are other symptoms to this, mayo looking substance around the oil filler cap*, and sometimes on the dip stick, loss of water from the radiator with no leaks under the car and possibly oil contamination in the radiator fluid, very lumpy idle with loss of compression on 1 or more cylinders, going through engine oil Other things are, valve seals, as oil could leak into the combustion chamber and cause smoking Bad spark plug not firing an thus causing popping due to unburnt fuel there are a few things that could cause smoking. what we need is a comprehensive list of what causes and what the symptoms are of smoking out the tail of the exhaust. Please note i could be wrong on a few of these. but from what my research has shown, these are what can cause smoking. **sometimes mayo looking substance on the oil filler cap can be from an engine that has sat for sometime with out being started and formed condensation on the inside.
  18. oooh love the wheels look familiar, nice pics, baz I'm surprised you didn't mention the bride sitting in the car, and yeah, anyone know what spoiler that is. i suppose you can always log onto the aus forum and ask the guy out right.
  19. i just like helping out, and if i can i will, i also know when something is beyond my ability. so if there was ever something i couldn't do, id say about it. but everything else, i got no problems with getting my hands all oily* for someone. Baz cant wait to meet you too bud, and not in a lube up ya butt hole kind of way either before dazvert and carmad start lol ** im referring to engine oil.
  20. now that is one F'ing SEXY COLOR :tt1::tt1::tt1:
  21. its getting there matey, next up wheel payment, cant wait, can finally stop saying "They're my friends off the owners club" when one of my mates says "nice wheels" lol once the wheels are paid for and everything is running smooth, its respray time, going bayside blue if you haven't guessed already.
  22. Glad to of helped solve your indoor swimming pool issues matey. you have sold me the idea of the indiglow dials though, and i doo miss my car being that low. Don't worry about saying that i dropped a 10m socket head into my turbo intake tube. just cant believe lee managed to dig it out with a magnet on a cable tie, while me and you were hunting for a device down at halfrauds lol. Was a good day and was nice to meet you, timing was perfect too, managed to get the Zed into the garage before it started raining, as i had the battery off and couldn't do the window up. Went to Nissan this morning, for that bit of water pipe that caused me so much hassle with the leaking, and also got new clips for the windscreen scuttle panel. £12 for 10 clips :confused1: But at least my scuttle panel is now securely fitted. fitted the new water pipe to turbo, bolted everything back together and no more leaking YAY  Also got my windscreen jet washer and tail gate clips through thanks to PaulBrem. (payment on the way bud) So all looking good, i can now see if it will go through a MOT with this smoke.
  23. My back boxes are spot on, i have the ovals that you originally got. and they are the same, just mirrored
  24. man you lot are confusing. so let me see if this is correct. who ever fitting the BOV's left the recircs on where the plug goes? and put the dump valves in place? using the recircs as the plug. What you intend to do is take out the recircs because they are no longer Plugging the hole (IE leaking), and use a bottle cap, instead of going HERE and getting the proper thing? Id say the recircs are still working, but they open when pressure builds behind them. You have 2 choices, put the recircs back in place Or Leave the BOVs inplace and get some proper blanking plugs.
  25. No point linking to this thread, unless they are registered, all they're going to get is a Please log in area. Was quality that it arrived though, made me feel all warm and bubbly inside lol +1 to the Royal mail service.
