Jae plot???
well you got until September to get your car sorted out and come down to JAE :)

Jae plot???
Ive asked for the same plot as last year, as it was big enough to cater for all, Including Jasons tent, hell we had that much room we had to spread the cars out to fill the voids and we still had loads of room all the way up to the tree line that never got used. but it was a nice location, not to far from the entrance, quite close to a toilet. i will be having words with fuggles though at the JAE rep meet in march about disabled access for a fellow member. Only thing i really wish was avalible is power points close to the camping sites so we had a permanent and stable voltage for extra things.

+1 to this, as yours is a N/A go for it, makes sense to be honest.

To be perfectly honest i cant understand all the negative comments about the VG, personally i find its as reliable as any engine, it all down to core maintenance and how much stress you stick it under. If you are just after thrashing the pants off it, no matter what engine you have it will fail eventually.

Rebuilt my front calipers
how much did it cost to get them shot blasted and power coated? i have a very old set that i could possibly get done so i have some decent OEM brakes as spares...

SWB vs LWB (Newbie Question)
if that was the case, nissan would of made more of them :P the LWB is better hand down, and yes you can fit 4 adults in it, just make sure the shorter women go in the rear seats.

Just remember to cancel your credit cards before you die.
Reported in the Newcastle Evening Chronicle U.K. Recently; Be sure and cancel your credit cards before you die! This is so priceless. And so easy to see happening - customer service, being what it is today! A lady died this past September, and MBNA bank billed her in October and November for their annual service charges on her credit card, and then in December added late fees and interest on the monthly charge. The balance that had been £0.00, now is somewhere around £60.00. A family member placed a call to the MBNA Bank: Family Member: 'I am calling to tell you that my grandma died in September.' MBNA: 'But the account was never closed and so the late fees and charges still apply.' Family Member: 'Maybe, you should turn it over to your collections section.' MBNA: 'Since it is two months over due, it already has been.' Family Member: 'So, what will they do when they find out she is dead?' MBNA: 'Either report her account to the Frauds Department or report her to The Credit bureau, maybe both!' Family Member: 'Do you think God will be mad at her?' MBNA: 'Excuse me?' Family Member: 'Did you just get what I was telling you . . The part about her being dead?' MBNA: 'Sir, you'll have to speak to my supervisor.' Supervisor gets on the phone: Family Member: 'I'm calling to tell you, she died in September.' MBNA: 'But the account was never closed and the late fees and charges still apply.' Family Member: 'You mean you want to collect from her estate?' MBNA: (Stammer) 'Are you her solicitor?' Family Member: 'No, I'm her grandson' MBNA: 'Could you fax us a death certificate?' Family Member: 'Sure.' ( fax number is given ) After they get the fax: MBNA: 'Our system just isn't set up for death. I don't know what more I can do to help.' Family Member: 'Well, if you figure it out, great! If not, you could just keep billing her. I don't think she will care.' MBNA: 'Well, the late fees and charges will still apply.' Family Member: 'Would you like her new billing address?' MBNA: 'That would help.' Family Member: ' Plot 1049.' Heaton Cemetary, Heaton Road , Newcastle upon Tyne MBNA: 'But, that's a cemetery!' Family Member: 'Well, what the **** do you do with dead people on your planet?' The MBNA were not available for comment when a reporter from the Newcastle Evening Chronicle rang them.

SWB vs LWB (Newbie Question)
Matter of opinion, but as i have 2 kids to shuttle about, i find the 2+2 a lot better in every way imaginable compared to the swb. Ooh and SWB is just 8" shorter than a LWB with out the added extra room the 2 seats in the back supply :P Or in other news, LWB better for a stonking boot build (AKA Jason farrows THE BEAST, AKA Artztogos Blue rocket) Personally im not actually too keen on the SWB as i think it looks squashed,

fuel filter
yeah i know we are off topic, but the question has been answered unless im missing something in changing the fuel filter lol Strange on the o2 side of things, wonder if jeff can shed any light,
-
fuel filter
unplugged 02's wouldn't make it run like crap, ive got both mine disconnected as i need to replace my drivers side, so ive unplugged both to give me a base reading instead of the engine doing dodgy things trying to compensate for one being dodgy
-
fuel filter
well so far list of simple things that i really should of checked first lol Fuse in the foot well for the gearbox not working, my fix, replace gearbox before fuse lol Cant start car, solution, put it in P instead of leaving it in D Cant start car 2, solution, put 30amp fuse back in fuse box in engine bay lol Silly but simple things. just proves how my head has been lol
-
fuel filter
that sound as if youve learnd from exp..lol what he said easy enough i take it out at night as added protection from thieving scum bags, not something they carry in their bag of tricks lol. ive forgotten to stick the thing in before and wondered why i couldn't start the damn car. `
-
fuel filter
take the fuel pump fuse out (small box in the engine bay, 30amp should be marked on the top of the box) crank the engine to release some of the pressure build up in the fuel line, it will still have pressure but not much so watch for spillage when you take it off, the filter holds quite a bit fuel so stick something over it to stop loosing loads of fuel, and bung it back into the tank. but other than that, quick and easy. Oh and when finished, just remember to put the fuel pump fuse back in.

weight of the rear hatch
If this is for a quote for UK to UK postage, why not just send it via https://www.paisleyfreight.com/, they offer a one off fee for a tail gate which is £25 door to door next day, i sent a LWB one via them, there was no weight limit, it just says "tail gate" If you go on there website and click Book now, it will give you a list of parts and prices. very good service, ive used them a lot and saves on having to weight the bloody thing.

New slim line HID ballast replacement
looks old due to where i removed the ballast from on the car it came off, took it off the rosso red zed i had off Jim, it was mounted on the front cross member in full exposure to the elements coming into the front bumper lol. worked good till my engine bay over heated it.

Lacking interest
probably partying hard lol

New slim line HID ballast replacement
well, order this Tuesday night, got sent out Wednesday morning, and arrived today. was a bit dubious about it working, as my older hid ballasts havent got any lables on other than the make, so had a bit of a guess at what wattage they were. so this morning the new one arrived. slim it said in the advert for it, and slim it certainly is, to the point its virtually non exsitant lol anyway, plugged it in, and switched them on, works perfectly :D now just need to replace the driver side so i have a matching pair. does look nice though and ultra slim so much easier to place where you want it using the exsiting wires i had from the old unit. anyway size comparison new on the left, old on the right (as if you couldn't tell) and not bad for £16 delivered. got it from this company http://www.passionauto.co.uk/products/slim-12v-35w-6000k-replacement-hid-ballast.html?message=Thank%20you%20for%20posting%20a%20review.%20It%20will%20be%20published%20once%20checked%20by%20a%20member%20of%20staff. if anyone is interested in HID ballast replacements
