  1. Standard or uprated?
  2. Nah, I've got a viscous fan fitted to mine. The leak is coming from the bottom of the rad, on the drivers side.
  3. Yeah it's definitely the radiator leaking and not a hose. It only leaks when the radiator is warm/hot though... Replacement time?
  4. Actually I think it may have been a dark grey rather than black?
  5. Filling up at the Shell Station on the H3(?) by the big A5 roundabout. Think it was about 10:30pm...
  6. I currently have a Koyo rad fitted, but it's leaking a fair bit from the bottom (not sure how this has happened). I guess it will need replacing? I had a search and gather that products like Radweld aren't so great for these cars? Can it be repaired? I've been looking online for a Koyo rad, and found this, although that seems suspiciously cheap? Would I be better off going for the Japspeed group buy on at the moment, and will the Japspeed radiator fit the same pipes that are currently attached to my Koyo rad?
  7. I think there's a few guys on the US forum with 200k + miles (even a few with 300k +)!
  8. Could be a longshot, but when was the fuel filter last replaced?
  9. Spent about 10 days with one in America a few years ago, mostly sat in the back. Very comfy in the back, and massive amounts of legroom. That's about all I can remember of it.
  10. No probs, thanks both!
  11. Any update on this bud?
  12. That's not usually something to brag about!
  13. Just north of Derby I think, yesterday lunchtime.
  14. Ah okay, thanks! I searched high and low but couldn't find that info
  15. Any word on this? Payment definitely left my account back on the 10th :)
  16. ^ *mph I wish it got 165mpg!
  17. 165mpg (GPS verified) - 300zx TT Manual Still had more to go, but I didn't have the room
  18. Ok here's a legit source: First Skyline introduced in 1957: http://www.nissan.co.jp/MUSEUM/SKYLINE/FIRST/index.html Skyline timeline: http://www2.nissan.co.jp/SKYLINE/HISTORY/car_1st.html The R32 GT-R was a homologation special, to allow the GT-R to compete. From everything I've found it looks like the GT-R was released at launch of the R32 and R33 alongside the other models. It seems at though the R34 GT-R came a few months after the base models. I still disagree that the GT-R can be seen in anyway as the base model. It's just another variant of the Skyline, the flagship model and not the one off which the others are based. As for the first racing skyline, Do you mean the C10 GT-R: Or the 2000 GT-B which came before that: Both based on standard skylines, with "hot" roadgoing versions produced as flagship models, or for homologation purposes. Other than that, I can't find a mention of the original racing car that you mention? The only refences that I can find are to the above 2000 GT-B (which was sometimes referred to at the GT-R), from 1964. Which was created by a guy called Shinichiro Sakuri when he dropped a 6 cylinder engine into an elongated Skyline sedan body... I love a good argument :D
  19. Not so, the GT-R was to the Skyline what the RS4 is the Audi A4. By no means the base model. With the current generation Skyline (aka Infiniti G37) Nissan decided to separate the GT-R into it's own line, hence how we now have the R35, which is no longer called a Skyline. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Skyline
  20. You sure the jets aren't blocked? The motor on mine was working fine but the nozzles on the bonnet were blocked. Got a pair from a breaker on here.
  21. Agreed! For the record I'd take an R34 over the new GTR anyday: Perfect - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2346725.htm
  22. Lol, I look forward to beating you on everything but weight (if we're talking numbers) :D I think you missed the point of my post, sure a tuned R32/3/4 will probably be quicker than a stock R35, but that wasn't what I was saying. I was saying that a standard R34 would be slower (in a straight line, on a track, whatever) than a standard R35. That's based on every review, test and opinion I've ever read of either of them. Using a tuned car in this comparison is irrelevant. It's like saying that a Vauxhall Victor is faster than a Bugatti Veyron, because of this . Besides, straight line speed does matter in a road car. I'm much more likely to utilise my car's straightline speed than it's maximum lateral grip on the road. Testing the latter simply isn't practical on the road (with a few exceptions).
  23. No they're not. The R34 wouldn't see which way an R35 went (stock for stock). That's based on the numbers though, I've not been in either. I agree about them not holding their value as well as an R34 though. There were about 12,000 R34 GTR's produced. I can't find production numbers for the R35 but I would guess it's a lot more, especially as it will be distributed worldwide, whereas the R34 was not. I think R34's are appreciating in value already...
  24. I don't see problem, could just do towns rather than postcodes so it would be possible to see the distribution of Zeds in different parts of the country.
  25. ^ What he said. Volvo V70, looks good, well specced, reliable (from what I hear) and loads available in your budget
