  1. you could ask AlanZ, i think he used to sell a lot of chromed stuff...
  2. I can't see why you can't get them re chromed... and no they aren't available as new separately. I guess you have to decide if you want to buy another set it good condition or get your ones re-done.. I have a full spare set and can check them out to see how good they are.. (but you're already had a offer of a full set). Like I said before I won't be able to check until Thursday.
  3. welcome, nice motor... :) a link to check the Chassis number in case you want to confirm the year of manufacture.. http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.79
  4. I might have a spare for that lens... and also the metal strip.... bad news is I can't have a look until next year !!! well next week.. :) ... Thursday.. I know I've got a spare but can't remember what side. If you can't fix it or get a replacement from anyone else PM me mid-week to remind me..
  5. it's amazing what you can find in the Tech section.. :)
  6. was that sent from and "i" device ??? :)
  7. post an add in the Wanted section.. you might get advice along with offers. if you give Jeff a call or PM he might also be able to advise where you could get one. best of luck..
  8. yeah, also make sure the the ducts are opening as they should, sure there's a write up somewhere on here where you can see the cabling and stuff...
  9. lol, it's not all about the lenses, the bulbs are also part of it... we all know how difficult insurance companies can be when paying out (as has been stated just recently). just be aware that you are taking a chance no matter how many MOT testers look at it and say OK.
  10. wouldn't you be better off doing it yourself with a couple of spirit levels and a tape? I seems to me that taking someone else's word for it when the gap requires "be precise, it's gonna be a tight squeeze" might end badly. :D
  11. if you are also having issues with the power steering it's more likely to be the send unit on the box... (as long as you don't have low steering fluid) see here: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?126425-Tech-tip-Speed-sensor&highlight=speed however if it's just the seedo then joints/connectors as advised.. :)
  12. I'm afraid it's not as simple as either of those.. plenty of posts on it... could be the cluster and connectors or as is common the unit on the gearbox.. they tend to come out..
  13. guides on adjustment in the tech section ... (I think)
  14. Ah, yes, thanks... lol.. teach me to not read it back...
  15. also be aware that there is (are) moisture absorbent tablets in the units, these seem to be covered my a type of foam. The foam gets old and falls part, if its brittle make sure you remove it but put the tablets back in.
  16. might be of some assistance.. http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_images/H-L_Disassembly.pdf as has been said you don't need any more sealant.. just make sure you take it all of the lens and put it back in the slot in the unit. it's easier to move it when warmed up, also make sure you distribute it around evenly (in the slot) so it seals properly again.
  17. LOL.. just another standard Zed job.... there isn't much that's easy on these cars... :) is this any good to you.. http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.346
  18. surely you mean aside from you making him some.. :)
  19. common issue... IVA system.. can be removed... http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.529
  20. bingo... exactly what I used... but like you say not on all of them... :)
  21. agree... I've done a few sets now with a little extra diffuser just for the hell of it.. :)
  22. I can give you the name of the place I got my hub-centrics done.. http://www.freakyparts.co.uk/ sales@freakyparts.co.uk they get them custom made.. wasn't fast but seems a good product.. nice fit.
