Boost controller fitting
Thanks Gonzo - 4m = 13.12 Feet, is this what you meant to put as it seems a lot compared with the above install link figures?

Is it me, or are these prices exhorbitant?!
PMSL! No I've not bought anything yet as I'm waiting to find out exactly what I need to get (hopefully all in one hit)!

I really cannot see how a T piece costs £23.66 to buy? http://www.blitz-uk.co.uk/Product-21.aspx I know people have to make a living but wtf?...

Boost controller fitting
Cheers Marty, I'd appreciate that. On the link you provided above, it say 1.5 metres of hose, must depend on where you join on the hoses I guess?

Boost controller fitting
So what I can gather, I need two tees and 1.5m of hose - does anyone happen to know the correct sizes of these parts? Also, is there anything else I'm likely to need? Cheers Pete

Boost controller fitting
Thanks for the link. Anything is simple if you've done it before though. Looks as though I've got to find all of the pipe work and tees etc, is there somewhere that will sell what I need or should I get a kit from the manufacturer? I was more after something specific for the Zed as well as a basic diagram...

Boost controller fitting
I've just acquired a Blitz SBC i-D II BC sans fitting instructions and wondered if there are any diagrams etc to assist with the installation? I know there is a guide for the greddy profec but it looks a bit dis-jointed and unclear as to the procedure. Any help is welcomed :-)

Steam from engine bay
That's what I thought Si. Could be smoke where oily hands have touched a hot part of the engine...

Baz

Route of cars to getting the Z
Too many to list, in excess of 80 cars now

Hesitancy
Solved. The TPS lower connector had become pulled apart in all the excitement

Stereo : No need for external antenna
Interesting to hear that - the aerials on the portable dab radio's look bog standard...some have only internal ones. They said my aerial I bought for freeview wouldn't work for digital, but just up in my loft it pulls in a great signal :) Makes you wonder just how different it could be to justify the extra cost?

Hesitancy
After removing the inlet pipes, mas sensor etc in order to remove the n/s headlight, the car started to die when acccelerating whilst warming up. The revs were sitting 1000rpm higher on tickover as well. admittedly, I did try starting the car while the mas was removed - would this put the settings on the ecu all out of wack? I took the car for a 5 mile trip and it seems back to normal now:confused: I made sure all pipe work was back on properly and the fact that it is running ok now would suggest confused ecu settings.

Stereo : No need for external antenna
In m experience, the Jap aerial on the window is generally for AM signals, I guess if it works it works though.

Thanks to Zedworld...
I echo all of the above sentiments...

Replacing bulbs
Thanks, there just isn't a way to do it with the wiring loom in front of the aperture - except if I chainsaw it! I opted to take the headlight out which gives you some kind of idea just how awkward it is to get to the bulb fitting! Done now ;-)

Replacing bulbs
It freed itself off this morning - now I can see the adaptor it all makes sense ! For the n/s main beam I've removed one of the air inlet pipes but the main loom is right infront of the aperture - are there any other bits to take off, if not it will be easier to take the s*dding headlamp out.

Replacing bulbs
Cheers Baz I'll give it a good go when I get some replacement bulbs...Who'd ever bloody thought I'd be asking how to change bulbs ffs! :nono:
