  1. I've rented them in the past - it was only bout £15 for the first day and price goes down per day the longer you have it. As mentioned above, you'll get your deposit back so long as they get their crane back!
  2. At least I know now that there is a point to the bottle. I never realised a vacuum formed - I've only ever experienced pressure when releasing the cap even when cold. Cheers for clearing that up though.
  3. The pajero has the rad cap on top of the expansion tank (like my delica), therefore it is also pressurised - the Zed overflow tank isn't. I guess another way to think of it is like a tyre valve - being pressurised it can let air out if faulty, but has no way to draw the air back in from the atmosphere to replenish automatically.
  4. This would be physically impossible as the radiator cap would need to pressurise to open, but it would be pressure and not suction and would therefore be dumping more coolant.
  5. Glad you got it sorted, but am amazed that six connectors fail in one hit and that the RAC guy got no signals/voltage when he tested.
  6. Surely there isn't really a need for the bottle? The pipe has no way to return the fluid to the engine and is merely there to catch any drips that the cooling system might expel via the radiator cap. I remember on slightly older cars these pipes would just be clipped to the rads and any excess fluid just dripped onto the road, I wondered if the japs fitted the tanks for eco purposes, ie not just letting anti-freeze etc drop on the road. I'm interested to know the answer to this
  7. Hmm, I'm not sure if our Halfrauds does paint mixing, do they do it from the code, or from the actual paintwork?
  8. My code is KH2 for the paint, as you can see below it is Grey. I was wondering if anyone has managed to find aerosols in this colour, as I need to spray a patch on my sill after having welded it?
  9. Could be any number of things. Connectors are a common problem, mine had a similar problem which turned out to be a connection to one of the fuel injectors. Coil packs can also cause this problem...
  10. Whats the deal with lower profiles on the rears? I've got 255/30/19 on the front and 275/35/19 on the rears.
  11. Guess I could be on borrowed time then...scary how many spares you need to carry for a zed!
  12. Which is which in the image? Only ever seen what is on my car which doesn't help me
  13. They are 21w from ebay, universal use (no make listed).
  14. See if the wheel gets hotter on the side its pulling to, which would indicate a sticker caliper or collapsed flexi pipe.
  15. Cheers Dougal, this could be the answer :)
  16. 275/35/19 it did have 265/30/19's but realistically, the tyres weren't really wide enough for the rims hence one of the rims getting split a while back when the fkn horn fell off! These tyres sit nicely on the rims and give them more protection...
  17. Yup that's right. My tyres are catching on the arches, so I need a way to stiffen/raise the rear end. I have just bought these tyres so I'm looking for the cheapest & easiest route. I have fitted some G14 spring assisters but they don't lift enough.
  18. Cheers mate. They're really easy to do - just use some thin plastic etc to slot into the cluster, bond them in, spray silver inside and drill holes for the red bulbs to go in. Job done!
  19. Funny how different people view different things - I nearly did my pants @ that price to purely change height of the car. Oddly enough I have to raise the height of my motor to accommodate my rear 275/35/19's lol
  20. Oh just me being tricky. I siliconed a blanking plate halfway between the two light outlets. drilled another bulb hole in the sectioned off area and used chrome spray for extra glow. The reverse lights plug in as usual but I connected the stand-alone fog light to the newly added bulbs :)
  21. Here's another option (bulbs don't look as pink in reality). This way you keep a fog and a reverse light on each side of the car...
  22. Sorry for the hijack but thanks very much for the help :)
  23. The 3mm single pipe and not the solenoid 8mm pipes lol
