Sad story of young girl in paper today
Its a shame when someone dies, more so when its family, and even more when its a child. My 7 year old niece died a few years ago from Cancer, tumour had grown and wrapped itself around the spinal column and rib area. There was never any hope, kemo was all we had, but that just prolonged the inevitable and she lost all her long blond hair. She was never once afraid or scared of dying, when it came she had everyone come around her bed whilst she lay down in her mum and Dad's (my brother) arms, told everyone not to worry, and just Died. Stories like Helen's happen all over the world and never reach the papers. Shame, David and Gill went through Hell, still are i suppose. Dont know how they coped, it would have broken me, i know that for sure. R

Cleaning Headlights
One way to stop the condensation, when bulbs are out, try and fit in the lens area one of those small packets of silicon you get in deliveries of some things, i used to get them in camera lenses/bodies, obviously it would need securing and in a place that is possibly hidden. Its a thought, never done it myself, but looking at my lenses now, i might have to... rich

Can anyone tell me what this is?
Hi, Had the Zed MOT'd yesterday, passed, no probs.. I get on really well with the guy and asked if i could look under the car when he was finished, no prob he said, showed me how the ramp went up and down and left me to it while he filled out my forms. So i take this opportunity to whip out my handycam and video the underside, the one area i really wanted was the AC comp, but there was a lot of floor panels there, never mind, what i did find was where the floor pans ended under the engine area, was what looked like 3/4" chipboard rotting away?? was i seeing things or is there definitely something there?? Here's a still from the vid.

Jeff, im not quite sure where this picture is taken but how could the water you poured in at the top come out of the bottom if the pipe is disconnected (I'm assuming this is the same pipe?) rich

Seals, leaking or what?
Suffolkzx, quick question, how does the water get into the pillar, if you look at the metal work under the targa top, a drain hole is there for that reason, to drain it, and not let it in the pillar, its as if they expect it to leak... Rich

Seals, leaking or what?
Whats creeping crack..the mind boggles...i shant say what i think it is so someone better tell me.... (if not for the non std pillar, the water might have ended up in the electric area in the foot well, where the fusebox lies....bang!!)

Seals, leaking or what?
I know, I know.... use the search and read up on it... Well i have a slightly different issue, (i hope) as we've had some pretty persistent rain over the last few days, i have been getting some water in the cockpit in the morning/evening when i use the car. The water is actually coming out of my Boost after market gauge hole on my A pillar, After investigation it seems the water is collecting at the rear of the moulded shape for the gauge and as i drive forward or go up a hill, it spills forward, and all over my knee. It has finally killed the new digital boost gauge this morning so i'm not to happy.. Now my question is, if i had a std pillar, the water would not collect in the pod and pour out, so it is not the usual leak around the door seal or targa tops. I've seen the drip tube and checked it works by pouring water down it and seeing it drip out underneath the car, so does anyone have a clue as to how water would get down the pillar? Regards Rich

A Little something to ponder on... For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional studies. 1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than us. 2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than us. 3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than us. 4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than us. 5. The Germans drink a lot of beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than us. CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you. Merci Au Revoir. Richare

What have i done...
I've got a Greddy Turbo Timer which has been successfully waiting 40secs before turning my engine off. Now i am one to touch and fiddle, and after looking at the manual, decided i wanted to investigate further the workings of the device. However, after trying to get in to it from the front panel i appear to have totally nadgered it right up, in my defence, i will say some of the instructions in the manual are i bit vauge and the key combinations simply do not work! Anyone got any suggestions or can tell me if there is a software reset switch thanks Rich
