  1. Ah!! i have recently been fiddling with the dash before Xmas, maybe i have done what you said, cheers Plazma. Rich
  2. Hi, after leaving the car for a week over Xmas, cleared her of snow, opened her up and started her up, fired first time and ticked over purrfect, drove around a while and noticed my indicator's weren't working. When i got home i tested the hazard switch and the bulbs in the dash blinked and the outside lamps also blinked, the separate left/right ones still refused to work. Found the fuse in the footwell, 10amp red, but it was not blown.. Looked around the other fuse blocks but nothing.. Any body got any ideas where to look next? Rich
  3. Thats a lovely example, i wish i had as much space as you to work on my cars! rich

  8. good luck then Jimmy, one question, its actually connected to the original thread question,,, you said by doing the hicas removal "saves quite a bit of weight and tidys up the engine bay." how does it tidy up the engine bay, i thought the hicas was applicable to the rear ? cheers Rich

  12. Well as the title suggest's when it rains, i get a squeaking when the wipers go, now, i thought,"Hmm... new wipers i think", So off i went..well you can guess the rest, tried them out after, and still the same squeak..so, i've got a mouse trapped somewhere or my screen is squeaking, any one tell me which it is? (and if its the screen squeaking, (which i've never heard off) ho do i fix it. Rich

  14. Craig Sorry to Hijack my own thread... where abouts in Aylesbury do you live, (roughly.. estate will do) i was brought up in the Bedgrove est. and my sis lives/lived in Quarendon near the JFK.. those were the days.. Rich
  15. Hi i read a lot of threads on hicas and the general opinion seems to be that its better to be without it!! Can i ask why,? is it rubbish, does it break easily, etc someone will know. Rich
  16. I agree entirely, it could be a multitude of reasons why its coming on, however.. IF the steering fluid is low and IF topping it up solves the problem then most likely in IS the cause.. You'd be pretty unlucky if it was something else... But hey..i could be wrong..
  17. Had the same here Gonzo, top up the fluid level, should fix it. if you dont have any, and dont want to buy a gallon tub to just use a spoonful, give us a call, i'll pop over and let you have some of mine. Rich
  18. Cheers mate, and what a great site! Rich
  19. Where do they go? Any ideas, looks like they go to the rear of the g/box Any ideas? thanks Rich
  20. Hi , going down the A pillars is a pipe that carries the rain water from the targa channels on the roof down to some drain pipes that come out underneath the car. Where these rubber pipes come down the inside of the wing area, they hook up to the metal pipe that eventually drains to outside. Now don't ask how this has happened but BOTH rubber tubes have come off where they meet this metal pipe, symptoms of this include lots of water on the passenger carpet around the ECU and some more water spilling onto all the fuses... if you peek under the passenger foot well at the most awkward of angles you can just see the pipe JeffTT had this issue a while ago and the passenger side one can be seen but needs the whole arm of a small boy to put it back, However the drivers side is impossible to see, let alone fix. Any one got any ideas how to access these areas or have some pics/diagrams or the offending area. Thanks Rich
  21. Cheers Guys, saved a bit towards to mods.... Rich
  22. Hi my Hicas light is staying on and from post's on here it looks like first looks is the power steering fluid, had a look, it looked low. when i drove off the light stayed off, so my stiring made me think it is the reason. Now i only want to top it up a little , and i do have some automatic tramsmission fluid, so is this fluid okay for a top up? or am i looking for a false economy. rich
  23. Daz Nice photo's , thanks, can you tell me, do you connect the 2 wires from the button, straight to the ignition plug. I have a kit that supplies a relay, and requires a lead from the starter solenoid to it, so i was just wondering if i can just go straight to the wiring? Rich
  24. oops..have i left a part off in my many dismantle/mantle's (??) of the dash lately in looking at the alarm or gauges, theres only one way to find out....FIGHT!!!! sorry about that, just been watching TV Burp Seriously though, just been to the car, and there is no beep when i remove the key with the lights on, so it must be that, how i forgot such a big part i don't know. A washer or a screw..maybe, but this thing... Anyway, thanks for your help it was spot on. Regards rich
  25. nope, but looking at it from the direction from the 2 tapped holes (which are on the same pitch as the dash surround) it looks like something from the dash area Rich
