  1. yes it would work to lift a monitor http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=bf&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=10&design=default&total=46
  2. Maf is located under the panel between the headlights it is the round tube with a square box on it with a multi plug wire attached hope this helps.
  3. http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=technical&msg_id=1001493 reverse wires have to be extended i think neutral has to be earthed to ECU ? you can bridge the oil pipes together, but most likely best to run through the cooler after the flush, they were designed to have a cooler so worth keeping. shifter change could just feel tighter when running due to new parts and bushes fitted hope this helps
  4. possible the converter has shorted out, not much help other than that.
  5. you can peal it off and remove the glue using panel wipe, white spirits might work as well.
  6. filler plug underneath is on the side of the gearbox, i have an auto but if memory serves correct just undo the bolt and you just stick your finger in the hole to feel the fluid lvl hope this helps, im sure someone will be able to help better.
  7. was the alternator new or second hand, is possible the internal rectifirer (spelling) has failed. try checking the connections to the alternator for a loose wire, if you can get some one to watch the dash with the car running and wiggle the wires on the alternator, you might be lucky in it being just a bad connection. what ever you do stay clear of moving parts will doing this. Nathan
  8. not to far then mate hope to get mine on the road again soon and hopefully without the gearbox failing again.
  9. housing benefits are paid direct to the land lord as far as i know, if she is claiming benefits then she can get housing benefits, as far as i know they can pay up to all of any arrears if she has been claiming. but i think arrears and such depend on circumstances, i would get the court order or even a solictors letter to warn her of the consquences of fraud and squatting, also might be worth putting a call to social services about this and endagerment to her child from him, they might try and move her if they think there is a problem. not sure if any help to you but all the best in getting it sorted as quick and cheaply as possible.
  10. lol curleykev where abouts in south wales are you, will have to meet up with some wales members when my zed is road legal again im just outside newport
  11. my mate and me towed an old morris 1000, van with no lights or plate on the rear, from reading to south wales on an Aframe, and the light board was on the roof, never got pulled with it.
  12. normaly they are prone to dry solder joints, remove the black box in the drivers door and resolder the connections in it, hopefully should sort it for you, also try wiggling the window switch while trying the window. hope this helps
  13. vin is on the bulk head behind the wiring to the wipers and battery positive loom.
  14. i agree push for it my zed had the screen replaced before i brought it, and all the windows are bronze except the blue screen and it bugs me.
  15. either what lee said or you might need a suppressor fitted, see if it does it with different items on. ie engine running, then wipers go through each item, if the noise incress in piitch with engine running you would need the suppressor on the alternator.
  16. worth a try even just to eliminate it good luck mate
  17. have you tried changing the TPS, just a thought is might be giving the correct reading at idle position but shorting or failing as soon as throttle moved.
  18. welcome mate good luck with the build hoping to see it one day
  19. hope this helps you Dan Nathan
  20. these were the state of mine to this
  21. you should be able to change them over, if you use a precision flat screw driver or small rod, you should be able to push it in the connector and then ease the wire out of the connector, they are just push fitted into the connector and held by a small tab, the screw driver will push in the small tab causing it to release, just pull the connection out then, just make sure it goes into the correct position on the replacement connector. will stick up a pic in couple of mins.
  22. no worries mate took it as light hearted lol, just a thought but have you got HID's, is possible one has fused and causing the drain.
  23. that is the same as the drain tubes on the targa zeds, could well be just a part that is used in both SWB and LWB, as im sure it was welded to the original inner sill strengtheners. If it was used on yours you would see a clear plastic tube that slides over it. hope this helps.
  24. lol missed that part looking after my ill son here and didnt read fully, good luck in sorting it
