  1. The timing marks on any timing belt are for reference only and are there as an aid to fitting the belt. When fitting timing belts you should only go by the timing marks on the engine components. Might be better comparisons to match the teeth themselves along a length say 2-3 feet and see if there is any difference?
  2. alot of hard work there Zairs well done mate
  3. never tried it. I think you would end up fooking up the rubber seal on the top cover. i would give it a good clean up around the area a try slapping some instant gasket around.

  6. to replace the sensor you have to remove the plem and intake manifold big job. Might be the loom but if the engine has overheater in the past then the det sensor may of melted.you could try putting in a resister 1M i think to cancel the error this would get you by till you replace the sensor/loom
  7. its just the welding the proplem because of the sound prof material on the inside. just make sure you remove it around the area to be welded.

  16. cylinder N04 not firing... could be a number of things. if you have a multi meter then you can check the resistance of PTU,Coil pack and injector on that cylinder. If this all checks out then next step would be checking CAS by removing it and rotating by hand to see if the spark plug and injector is firing. check out the online workshop manual for resistance check on each item.

  19. all you have to do is remove the metal pipe that feeds the fuel reg and fuel damper and replace with the ss braided direct from the fuel filter and fuel return. hope this helps
  20. i'll put some pictures together for you of the overall vac piping on a 300zx tt engine so you can check everything. i'll do it over the weekend if you can wait. I need to to this anyway as a quick ref for me and might be usefull to other members. BTW the pipe from your tub with the rubber jacket on it should go to the 3 way splitter. 3 way splitter connection = tud wastegate, wastegate control sol, metal boost pipe
  21. This is the idle control plumbing... Drivers side metal boost pipes (down by o/s/f head light) you should have: One vac pipe from reserc valve to balance tube One vac pipe directly from metal boost pipe to waste gate control sol (3 way splitter)
  22. should be the same both sides http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=efec&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=12&design=default&total=190
